Above, Glenn Beck gives the key note speech at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) and brings down the house! He railed against the enemies within, the Progressives, in both parties and some folks think he went too far.

One of those that thinks Glenn pushed too far was former Sec. of Education and Drug Tsar, Dr. Bill Bennett. I respect Dr. Bill and think he is one of the leaders when it comes to teaching and informing the American people about the conservative cause. But he went off this morning saying that Glenn just doesn't see the good that the Republicans that are in office are doing.

Glenn said that we shouldn't settle for someone telling us that, hey, I will stop the guy from sticking that screw-driver in your eye, and I'll just stick in a pin. WE DON'T WANT ANYTHING IN OUR EYE! He was making the point that just because the Republicans are standing up to the Obama agenda, which is as easy as saying "I hate the satan", it doesn't mean that they would be all that better at governing if they don't purge the "Progressive" influence out of their party.

It's true that John McCain has been one of the leaders in helping stop this take over by Obama and his radical cabal, but would things have been that different if McCain would have been elected? The darling of the media, until he ran against the messiah of the media, Obama, was one for believing in Global Warming, and therefore pursuing Cap-n-Trade. He was also Mr. Bi-Partisan, and would have more than likely negotiated on any health care bill brought up by the Dems. in the congress. The only thing that he had going for him was his fiscal discipline, and that may have slowed things down.

But the man was not someone I wanted to intrust the protection of the US Constitution, remember McCain/Finegold. What Glenn was talking about in his CPAC speech was how the Progressives, like Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, where trying to get around the Constitution because they saw it as an old document, not worthy of adhering to. And Teddy, the leader of the Bull-Moose party, the progressive party of the day, was John McCain's hero.

I respect John McCain and his long service to this country, a true hero who still bares the scares of his sacrifice to this nation. But I think that many Republicans don't even see what they are, progressive republicans that are hell bent in enlarging the government and making it an even bigger part of our lives.

True conservatives want to not just stop the growth, that's a given, but want to shrink government, and remove the burden of high taxes and over regulation off of the citizens and off of business. Only through less government will the shackles be shed so that we, the people, can do what we do best, produce, innovate and create wealth like no other country has done in the history of the world.

Bill wanted to point out that Glenn stated that he hasn't seen a "Coming to Jesus moment" in the Republican Party. Again, the GOP has been standing against the Obama agenda, but that's easy. But Glenn is a "pivot point" kind of guy, he not only wants to hear that Republicans are becoming more conservative, he wants to know why, why did they change, and when.

Throwing out red meat to their voter base is easy when you have so much radical cattle to harvest it from. But I want to see, as Glenn does, the look in a GOP candidates eyes of true repentance, and if we see that we will forgive. We may not forget, but we will forgive. We want to know the exact moment that they realized that they were walking down the dark side, and what made them jump into the light. That is what Glenn is looking for, not just words, but to know that they recognise they had a problem and what made them change. Hence is referring to his own addiction to alcohol.

Bill made his point that it is the GOP that is standing up to all that is wrong with the Obama agenda today and that there is a difference between the parties. But even Bill can look back and see that the GOP hasn't been the conservative party that we thought they needed to be. Under Reagan and both Bushs, we grew government. Less under Reagan, but under "W" we grew with astounding speed. One has to look at the past, not just the last year, to see how the future will be, and with that track record, you can see why we are very weary of any politician saying, "look, I've changed.....trust me!"

I hope the GOP candidates will look us in the eyes, and tell their real story of how they've changed, because without that, we will keep looking, and looking and looking, until we find the true conservatives we need.

Dr. Bill goes by the philosophy of "elect the most conservative candidate you can", stated by the conservative icon, William F. Buckley. And I agree, but lets make sure we find the very best we can, and not settle for the small, very tiny pin in the eye, again.

Obama Says "JUMP" and Alan Grayson says "HOW HIGH!"

From "Big Journalism" Why Obama Hates the Recent SCOTUS Decision, James Hundall has a great post on why the President is so upset with the Supreme Court's ruling. He quotes Pres. Obama:

"With its ruling today, the Supreme Court has given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics. It is a major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, health insurance companies and the other powerful interests that marshal their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans. This ruling gives the special interests and their lobbyists even more power in Washington–while undermining the influence of average Americans who make small contributions to support their preferred candidates. That’s why I am instructing my Administration to get to work immediately with Congress on this issue. We are going to talk with bipartisan Congressional leaders to develop a forceful response to this decision. The public interest requires nothing less."

And it looks like my Congressman, Rep. Alan Grayson (D) took his orders well. He's now come up with 8 new, free-speech-hating bills that he thinks will go over well at home. For the statests, maybe, but for the folks like me, people that look at the "Tea Party" movement as a good thing, and think our government is way out of control, it goes over like a cement truck off a cliff. Here's what I said back to Rep. Grayson, I get his news letter so you don't have to:

1) The Business Should Mind Its Own Business Act (H.R. 4431): Implements a 500% excise tax on corporate contributions to political committees, and on corporate expenditures on political advocacy campaigns.

HR4431: So you would have congress pass a law that abridges the right of free speech by taxing the hell out of it? Have you read the Constitution?

2) The Public Company Responsibility Act (H.R. 4435): Prevents companies making political contributions and expenditures from trading their stock on national exchanges.

HR4435: See above? Punishing a company for doing what the SCOTUS says is constitutional?

3) The End Political Kickbacks Act (H.R. 4434): Prevents for-profit corporations that receive money from the government from making political contributions, and limits the amount that employees of those companies can contribute.

HR4434: I see you leave out Unions, which are corporations that make millions for their leaders. And you want to limit free political speech of individuals, just because the work for a company that is doing something you don't like?

4) The Corporate Propaganda Sunshine Act (H.R. 4432): Requires publicly-traded companies to disclose in SEC filings money used for the purpose of influencing public opinion, rather than promoting their products and services.

HR4432: If all contributions to politicians, political parties or advocacy groups had to be disclosed then we wouldn't need this, but your party and many Rep. don't want this......Why? Let the people see who is paying for what and let them make up their own minds.

5) The Ending Corporate Collusion Act (H.R. 4433): Applies antitrust law to industry political action committees.

HR4433: As long as this applies to unions as well, I have no problem with it.

6) The End the Hijacking of Shareholder Funds Act (H.R. 4487): This bill requires the approval of a majority of a public company’s shareholders for any expenditure by that company to influence public opinion on matters not related to the company’s products or services.

HR4487: What the hell business is it of yours what a company does with the money and power they have been entrusted with by its shareholders. If the shareholders don't like what the company is doing they are free to sell their stock, just as the free market says they can. Or they may vote to change the BOD and the path the company takes. The company bylaws should dictate how the leadership makes up its mind on how to spend money.

7) The America is for Americans Act (H.R. 4510): Bans all political contributions from foreign companies, or domestic companies with any foreign owners.

8) The Pick Your Poison Act (H.R. 4511): Requires corporations to choose between using lobbyists to influence the political process, or spending money on campaign propaganda.

HR4511: Again, stay out of how companies spend their own money, they may pay for the vampires on K-street and pay into PACs if they so choose, or to candidates or to parties. They earned the money, they get to spend it.

Man, who comes up with the names to these things? The progressive libs like Alan truly think that we are that stupid, they think "well that sound good, let's support it" and we won't dive any deeper. Well, thanks to Al Gore for inventing the Internet, so we can now look up all sorts of things, see videos of what people said, so we can get the real truth, and make up our own minds. Thanks Al.

Congressman Grayson,
It is already illegal for foreign corporations or foreign persons to contribute to elections here in the U.S. Your "America is for Americans Act", what a stupid name, is already law. Judge Alido was correct when he mouthed the words, "not true" at the SOTU address.

“The Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) prohibits any foreign national from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly. It is also unlawful to help foreign nationals violate that ban or to solicit, receive or accept contributions or donations from them. Persons who knowingly and willfully engage in these activities may be subject to fines and/or imprisonment.

Who is a Foreign National?

The following groups and individuals are considered "foreign nationals" and are, therefore, subject to the prohibition:

Foreign governments;
Foreign political parties;
Foreign corporations;
Foreign associations;
Foreign partnerships;
Individuals with foreign citizenship; and
Immigrants who do not have a "green card."

Happy 1 year Anniversary President Obama

To the good people of Massachusetts, hats off to you and a big thanks to all of you that voted for Scott Brown. A year after Obama's inauguration, he is loved so much that the bluest of states, MA, votes in a Republican to replace the "Lion of the Senate" Ted Kennedy.

Say what you want about now Senator Scott Brown's opponent, this was a referendum on Obama and his progressive train wreck he's been trying to ram down the country's throat. Republicans of course voted for him, but the vast majority of independents, the largest voting block in MA and many Democrats voted for him as well. Why??? Because they were fed up with the politics of the Obama administration, all the back room deals, special interests and broken promises.

So let's look at this win last night of the new Senator of MA, Scott Brown, remembering something a very good man once said.

But I'll paraphrase: Massachusetts, we hear you....the whole world hears you......and the people that are tearing this country down will hear ALL of us soon! Come November.

We are the light shining on the hill, for how long I don't know, but for now we must fight as our fathers, our grandfathers and the young men are women are doing today, to preserve that light so that it may shine for another 200 year and beyond.

Answers To Idiots!

This is a collection of replies to some, oh, how should I say this, Dimwits that I saw posting to articles on the web. I was feeling like I needed to do some Fearless Speaking today.

This was in answer to someone asking why the Rasmussen polling is usually lower than others:

"Because Rasmussen uses "likely voters" as opposed to most of the rest that use total random calls like ABCNews/Washington Post. If you're trying to say that Ras. is bias, you can't tell me ABC and CNN are not.

Likely voters are ones that pay attention, as opposed to any Joe Blow that can answer a phone."

Someone here was wondering how Sarah Palin felt about the bank bailout and also about the MSNBC reporter that took on a formidable opponent, one 13 year old smart girl:

"As I told Lemure, Sarah supported her running mate, and he tried to work for the bail-out. I never saw her fully endorse the bail out, except to say that something needed to be done. This little girl stuck to her guns and promoted the US Constitution, that is one proud daddy! I know I would be. Splat might be too strong, but this little girl held her own with a seasoned (P)MSNBC reporter, she did great. I think this lady needs to start looking in strollers next time to find a fight she can win."

I posted this to an article about the 2000+ page Senate Health Care bill:

"This has been proposed before, but I think it should get more traction now. EVERY Bill presented to the congress should start, "Under Article ## of the US Constitution, we see that the US Congress has the authority to pass a bill concerning (fill in the blank). That way, when someone asks Nancy where in the constitution the government has the authority to pass such a law, like mandates forcing us to buy health insurance, she will be able to come up with something more than " are you serious?"

This was in response to someone saying, "the GOP is killing this country":

"er...um....WHO"S IN CHARGE RIGHT NOW!!!!! The GOP is just trying to put the brakes on in this run-away down hill train. It's people that don't give a Shiite about the Constitution of this country that are tearing it down. "

And finally, someone saying that "I wander how many Republicans will read the Health Care Bill? They didn't even read the Patriot Act.:

"Give me an example of how the Patriot act infringed on your rights. Did you call someone in the Mideast that might have something to do with terrorism? Did you transfer money to Syria, or Afghanistan? Then maybe you were watched, but tell me, how did the patriot act do anything to you?
Now tell me where in the constitution you can find where is says I have to buy medical insurance to be a free member of this country, and if I don't I could go to jail. PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!"

It was fun tearing some of these folks a new one, but reading many of these posts, it just shows how truly uninformed some many people are on very important subjects. God helps us all!

Gun Bans Kill People

We know the story now, a man, a US Army Major, buys some guns, then uses them to go and kill his fellow soldiers in cold, calculated blood. He knows that he will be able to do this because soldiers on the base are not allowed to carry weapons. On an Army base?

If there is one place where weapons training is thorough and extensive, it would be at Ft. Hood, TX. I don't know the reasons behind the gun ban on base, but I don't see the need. In fact, just like the criminal element outside the gates of Ft. Hood know, if they are in an area of very intense gun control, then they are likely to be the only ones with guns and hence, they are safe to carry out their bad deeds.

Just days later, after Ft. Hood, here in Orlando, FL we found ourselves at the mercy of another crazed idiot as he brought down town Orlando to a halt . He walked into the 8th floor of the Gateway Center on the north end of down town and opened fire on workers there, a firm he was fired from 2 years prior. He ended up killing one young man and injuring 5 others.

This tragedy and Ft. Hood could have been stopped; not by banning guns but by promoting their use! Banning guns will never keep guns out of the hands of people meaning to do harm. Police rarely intervene in a crime but follow up to catch the bad guys after the fact, and God Bless them for it. But even though their mottos are usually to "serve and protect", they rarely get the chance to do the "protecting" part of that goal.

The madman at Ft. Hood was stopped by a heroine, a mom and a reservist, and now, a national treasure. Sgt Kimberly Munley heard that there was a shooter while in her vehicle, and raced to the scene. This was after he had shot and killed 12, and injured more than twice that. (one soldier died a day later to make the total 13) She saw the man, walking up on a wounded soldier crawling away from him, and as he pointed his gun at the man on the ground, Munley opened fire on him, and he shifted his attention towards her. She may have saved that man from execution. She then proceeded to open up on him, and he did the same, hitting her three times, one in each thigh and one in the hand. But she kept firing, both within 25 feet of each other, and struck him 4 times, dropping him. See her story here.

Putting guns in the hands of good, background checked, trained citizens gives you and me the best protection of all. Yes, I know that both of these evil doers got their guns through proper channels, but so do millions of people every year, and they don't shoot up military bases or office buildings. But if others, people of level heads and training, had guns in their reach on those days, the tolls would have been much lower.

If just one or two people in the Gateway Center would have been carrying that day, after the first few rounds, maybe this man would have been stopped, and I mean shot to death. And maybe, just maybe, if some of the non-coms, Sargent and the like would have been allowed to carry side arms, then maybe this terrorist would have thought twice, or at worst, been stopped right after he got off his first few rounds.

Just last night here in Orlando, a young lady, protecting her home, shot and killed a man trying to invade her home. The other two men with him ran off. Criminals are cowards and they will not risk breaking in a home if they feel the owners may have a gun. This is the example of why the 2nd amendment is really in our constitution, not only to protect us from a government gone crazy, don't get me started, but to also protect our lives and our family's lives. The young lady had 3 kids in the home, and she had a gun....what would you have done?

FORD CROSSES THE FINISH LINE A BILLION $$ AHEAD!

Congratulations to Ford Motors, Inc., posting a Billion profit for the 3rd Qtr.! With cost cutting, wise choices in regards to corporate financing and labor contracts, Ford shows the country and especially the Obama administration what the free market can still do.

Yes they may have, no, they most likely did benefit from the "Cash for Clunkers" program, but they were in the same market as GM and Chrysler. I believe that there is another reason that they had a profitable 3rd Qtr..

Ford, to its credit, stayed away from government bailout money, and I think their vision is the key to customers flowing into their doors. The public knows who took money and who was in bed with the Obama administration. They know it was wrong to do so, that the free market should have let those businesses fail and the assets of those businesses should have been sold off.

Ford created another demand factor for their product, the fact they stood up to the pressures of the economy and the administration and the public responded. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people tell me, "the next time I buy a car, I'm looking at a Ford first". I think this had a major factor in their performance that allowed them to post such great numbers.

Congratulations again Ford, well done!

44,000......Really?

Michelle Malkin, in her article The Bogus Death Statistic That Won't Die , picks apart the study that Rep. Alan Grayson (D) uses to talk about the 44,000 people in this country that purportedly die due to the fact that they have no medical insurance.

She points out; "Two of the co-authors, Drs. David Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler, are avowed government-run health care activists. Himmelstein co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program, which bills itself as "the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program." Woolhandler is a co-founder and served as secretary of the group."

And these men went to the press, giving them a state by state accounting of the numbers of people dying in each state; "Next, the political doctors cooked up scary-specific death tolls for all 50 states (California -- 5,302, Texas -- 4,675). Newspapers dutifully cited the fear-mongering factoids. The single-payer lobbying group co-founded by Himmelstein and Woolhandler took it from there. Last month, the group set up its own memorial on the National Mall for the phantom 44,000 casualties of uninsurance."

This is just another arrow to toss in your quiver when someone tells you that lack of medical insurance is killing people. Know that there is no proof, and that if someone says that you're killing people because you don't want them to have insurance, tell them to talk to the family and friends of the people that died in Canada and England waiting for they MRI or waiting to see a specialist. Those are numbers you can truly quantify.

In this study, Waiting Your Turn, Hospital Waiting Lists in Canada, 2008 Report , it shows that wait times for referrals from your GP to a specialist can take as much as 19+ weeks, and from referral to treatment by a specialist it can take as much as 36 weeks, (orthopaedic surgery). They only place in the study that showed improvement from when they started keeping track was cardiovascular surgery, which was still an average of 7.3 weeks. Radiation Oncology can take almost 6 weeks until you get treatment.

How many people can go from operable to inoperable stage cancer in 6 weeks? How many people can suffer a fatal heart attack in the 7.3 weeks between GP and treatment? These are the faces, the stories that need to be told.

Bring out your dead!

That famous line from Monty-Python sounds like Rep. (D) Alan Grayson's call today to go register names of people who you think died because they didn't have medical insurance. ( http://namesofthedead.com/ ) . I can just see him now, walking along a cart, yelling out " Bring out your dead" as he clangs a bell.

He claims that over 44,000 people die due to their lack of medical insurance. These numbers are from a study called; Health Insurance and Mortality in US Adults . This study claims that there is a greater chance of dying if you don't have insurance. The chances are 40% more according to Grayson, but what does that really mean, does it mean that those 44,000 people wouldn't have died if they had medical insurance?

I reviewed the study and found that there was one thing missing, the study does nothing to show why the people didn't have insurance. It didn't say that they couldn't buy it or that they were just choosing not to buy it. Over 15 million of the uninsured are able to buy it, but they choose not to.

The study, which used 9,004 people for this portion, showed that 351 of them died over the study period, or 3.1%. No where does it say why or how they died. The age group was 17 - 64 years old. There is a myriad of reasons for folks to die, many not related to health care. But we don't know how they died, so by deduction this study concludes that it's because they, the 78 that died who didn't have medical insurance, died only for that reason.

The top 3 reasons for deaths of people ages 15 to 24 have nothing to do with anything medical, they are; (1) accidents 51.8%, (2) homicides, 21.3% and (3) suicides 16.3%. The study also shows that just being male, gives men the same risk as not having insurance. But is that risk, really?

200 of the folks that had insurance in the study died, or 3.0% over the 14 years of the study. That was 200 of the 6,655 insured. 78 of the folks died that didn't have insurance or 3.3% over the 14 years. There were 2,350 of these folks. That means that 7 more people may have died because, according to the study, they didn't have medical insurance. (0.3% X 2,350=7.05) But we still don't know why they didn't have insurance. Many young people choose not to buy insurance because they are healthy, yet they die from other reasons than health care many more times than older Americans; could they be a larger sample of the uninsured in this study? It doesn't say.

If only a few of these were because of accident or the other top 3 for young people, then that can change the results dramatically. The study accounts for smoking, drinking, body mass and other factors, but if a person chooses not to have insurance, a risk, what other risks do they take. Do they not go see the doctor because they choose not to, many guys think they're tough, they'll get over what ever it is. Just adjust the number of folks that died in the uninsured group by as little as 10% or 7 folks and you even out the playing field.

I go through all this to make this statement. Don't pay attention to Alan Grayson and his grandstanding, he is the distraction, he is the flash powder that draws your attention away from the big picture, the tricks and down-right misdeeds of the leadership of the House and Senate and the White House. These are the folks we need an apology from, they are the ones pushing through a bill, over 1,500 pages, that will be the begin of, and I quote, "Fundamentally Transforming the United States of America".

And make no doubts about it, this is their goal, no matter what:

"... is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international fraternity, in the suppression or reduction of standing armies, or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses..." This is what Alfred Nobel said was the criteria for someone to be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize. So let's look at how Pres. Obama fits the bill.

" is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international fraternity" The greatest service....hmmmm....trying to think of what great service Pres. Obama has given.......still trying......Oh yes, how could I forget, his great speech at the UN, the one that got all those great applause by the great leaders of countries like, Venezuela, Cuba, Libya, Lebanon, China, Nicaragua, and so on, oh too many to list. I guess that is what the Nobel prize committee considers the "international fraternity" The applause lines happened when Obama would either chastise the US for arrogance, or for not understanding the peaceful religion and culture of Islam. Okay, lets look at the next one on the list, shall we...

"in the suppression or reduction of standing armies" Well, it looks like that one might be deserved, at least as far as the US military is concerned. Nothing says I don't really want all of you good, hard fighting, God fearing, Flag loving folks in the military to stay in too much longer, by saying, I'm going to do my best to resend "Don't ask, Don't tell". And to help all of you make your minds up even faster, I'm going to try and ask some of the more friendly folks in the Taliban to help put Afghanistan back together; they did say they weren't a threat to the west, and why shouldn't we believe them. Oh, and lastly, I'll give ACORN 1 million dollars to fight fires, but I'm going to reduce the US military budget and cut arms programs and missile defence programs for our allies, and finally I'll berate and chastise this great country so I can be more popular with the rest of the world. Oh, one more thing, I'm going to ask that the congress and the nation to pass stimulus bills, health care reform bills, Cap and Trade bills as fast as possible, not even bothering to read the final bills, that's not important; but I'm going to take what your generals tell me they need and mull it over for say 2, 3 maybe 4 or 5 weeks, so I can study it and really know how we should proceed. Now, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

And lastly we have, "or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses" I guess that would have to be his sitting down on the UN "Human Rights Council". That's got to be a "peace congress" if I ever saw one, I mean look who sits on it and has lead it in the past. Iran, Cuba, Libya, China, and many more human rights "mavens". What a wast of time that was, when you look at what he has done to promote peace. He wants the world to be rid of nuclear weapons, well what did do about Iran's aspirations so far, except show them our underbelly like a submissive dog trying to be your friend. He was asked what he thought about "American Exceptionalism" and he answered that he felt about it like folks in England must feel about British exceptionalism, or how Japan must feel about Japanese exceptionalism. So his idea of peace is to have no exceptional countries, because when all countries are exceptional, none are. So now we have the envy of the world tossed aside as an excuse to hate us, and that can only lead to more peace.

So if you sat on the selection committee of the Nobel Peace prize you couldn't come to any other conclusion, Pres. Obama deserved this honor, because if they didn't choose him, wouldn't that just show their hate and racism toward our president.

The man has done squat, nothing, zip-zero-nada.....but hey, he got elected President of the United States of America on that same record, so I may be wrong.

Pres. Obama Sides with Killers of Women and US Military

White House officials said this week that Pres. Obama is looking at a strategy in Afghanistan that would allow the Taliban to gain some control of areas of the country, since they said that they are not a threat to anyone in the west. Well, I feel better already, they're not a threat to us here in the west, so there you go, no problem.

But the fact is they are a threat to us and all nations that have an ounce of decent humanity left. These are, first of all, the folks that allowed Al Queada to train and plot the 9/11 massacre that left a pile of ruble where the WTC stood. And it killed almost 3000 innocent people, people from all over the world. This was not just a strike at the US, but a strike at civilization itself. I'm sorry, but I still believe in what former Pres. G. W. Bush said when he stated, "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists". It's that simple in my eyes, either the Taliban supports Al Queada and the killing of western civilization, or you're with us, and the promotion of the rule of law, law derived and approved by the people.

The Taliban has killed US troops and allied troops as well. They kill and maim their own people, in the most public and brutal ways. I won't post anymore examples, but if you want to see their form of justice, all you need to do is "YouTube" the Taliban and you will find hours of horror, the killing, beating and maiming of people accused of anything from having an unapproved relationship, to attending school. Video of kids walking to school, only to be blown up, shredded to bits, by a Taliban car bomb. Now they are in Pakistan and are laying down the law in the high mountains, forgoing anything that looks like constitutional, governmental law, having Sharia law tribunals and handing down punishments that are barbaric.

But Obama sees a role for the Taliban in Afghanistan. Really! What? I guess he thinks that they could gain some control of the country, and all the folks that helped us, the GREAT SATAN, will just be forgiven, and let off with a little warning. Really! The police, town officials and just regular citizens that wanted their little girls to go to school, they will be dragged out of their homes and beaten or worse, shot dead in a public display of Sharia justice. And who on God's green earth will trust us then, who will say, "lets count on the US, they'll protect us"? Who?

I thought that when people are being trampled on, when they try to rise up and take back the God given rights that others have taken from them, that we stood by their side and fought with them or even for them. But now, with this twit in office, it looks like we'll just stand by, and watch as they, the Taliban, dole out their justice and take back, little by little, the gains we've made by the blood, sweat and tears of our service men and women. If you think the troops are demoralized now, just wait until they are told they can't shoot at the Taliban.

Update 10/10/09: Pres. Obama vows to end "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" to thunderous applause. Does it make you pause that in this year of record deficit spending, the one area of government that saw less funding was Defence. Tack this on top of siding with our enemies, and I see a mass reduction in the retention of our best and brightest in the military.

Not exactly what they were expecting, but why not. Isn't this the man that has been traveling the world over the last 9 months, and before, trashing this country. Why the hell would the IOC want to come here of all places for the summer games of 2016.

This also shows how big Pres. Obama's ego really is. He thought that he could go over to Copenhagen and flash that big smile, show off Michelle's toned arms and have "O" Oprah....well do what ever she could do, and the the IOC would fold at their feet. And what happened, they we're the first ones show the door. Air Force 1 was just taking off when the announcement was made, the president getting a heads-up I'm sure.

Doesn't it make you feel all warm and safe inside knowing that this is the man that will be negotiating with Iran and Russia and China over Iranian nukes....I feel warm all right, but I think it's my blood pressure on the rise. He broke the first rule of presidential negotiations, you don't go unless you have a deal already. Coming home with your tail between your legs doesn't convey strength, and getting spanked by Spain and Brazil, two "power-houses" of international muscle, that looks even worse.

And not only did the IOC say no, they said "Hell No" by eliminating Chicago in the first round, saying that they had the least amount of votes. Tokyo's representatives at least put a good spin on it, after they were illuminated, by asking that they keep the games "Green". This after Michelle flew over to Europe on the presidential 727, and Barack follows a day or two later on the 747 AF 1. And add in the other Secret Service aircraft, transports for cars and other gas guzzler vehicles and that adds up to a nice size carbon footprint there wouldn't you say.

At least we know that he will spend time on things he thinks are important. He gave the general overseeing Afghanistan a whole 25 minutes to go over strategy and troop levels. I mean, like Michelle said, going over there was a "sacrifice" to say the least.

Liars and Triggers and Politicians, Oh My!

Joe Biden says that SC Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst, "You Lie" was an embarrassment. Coming from Joe, someone that has a vast knowledge and understanding of how to embarrass one's self, that really carries some weight. But in last night's Presidential address to a joint session of Congress, Joe Wilson's remark, albeit poor decorum, was the only thing we can be certain was truthful.

Even the Associated Press, not a bastion of right wing pundits, came out and said that President Obama wasn't fully upfront, ( translation: was Lying) about the facts he laid out in his speech last night.

OBAMA: "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. Period."
THE FACTS: Though there's no final plan yet, the White House and congressional Democrats already have shown they're ready to skirt the no-new-deficits pledge.

OBAMA: "Don't pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut. ... That will never happen on my watch. I will protect Medicare."
THE FACTS: Obama and congressional Democrats want to pay for their health care plans in part by reducing Medicare payments to providers by more than $500 billion over 10 years. The cuts would largely hit hospitals and Medicare Advantage, the part of the Medicare program operated through private insurance companies.

OBAMA: Requiring insurance companies to cover preventive care like mammograms and colonoscopies "makes sense, it saves money, and it saves lives."
THE FACTS: Studies have shown that much preventive care — particularly tests like the ones Obama mentions — actually costs money instead of saving it. That's because detecting acute diseases like breast cancer in their early stages involves testing many people who would never end up developing the disease. The costs of a large number of tests, even if they're relatively cheap, will outweigh the costs of caring for the minority of people who would have ended up getting sick without the testing.

OBAMA: "Nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have."
THE FACTS: That's correct, as far as it goes. But neither can the plan guarantee that people can keep their current coverage. Employers sponsor coverage for most families, and they'd be free to change their health plans in ways that workers may not like, or drop insurance altogether. The Congressional Budget Office analyzed the health care bill written by House Democrats and said that by 2016 some 3 million people who now have employer-based care would lose it because their employers would decide to stop offering it.
In the past Obama repeatedly said, "If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period." Now he's stopping short of that unconditional guarantee by saying nothing in the plan "requires" any change.

And through out his whole speech he kept on referring to his plan, "In the plan that I'm proposing" and phrases as such, but I have one question....What Plan! If you asked him, "what page can we find where it says this or says that". He has no plan of his own. There are the 2 plans being considered by the house, and another or two being considered by the Senate, so what plan is he referring to? No wonder the biggest laugh from the attending congressman and senators was when he said, "Now we still have a few details to work out...." Ya Think!

The one man telling the truth last night, Joe Wilson, will now become the whipping post for the left, and they will ignore the mis-truths and down right lies said last night. For that I'm not happy....oh but deep down inside I'm saying "thanks Joe, you're right, he has no clothes!"

President Obama Speeks to Our Children

Today, noon EST, the president will make a speech to our nations students, K- 12. Much as been said about this speech, how it may be propaganda, or brain washing, but I just read the speech, and with only one exception I thought it was very good. But what else could expect from the "Teleprompter and Cheif".

By using his own story and the story of others that have not let their circumstance make them a victim, he stated clearly that kids need to press forward and not let anything get in the way of their education. He said that it's not just themselves they would be cheating if they knuckled under to pier pressure and did things that caused them to not give their best effort, if they just stopped trying because they failed at first. Obama said that if they give up on their education that it would hurt the country as well. I have to fully agree with the President on this one. Learning from failure, as he points out, is the way many great figures in our history learned their trade.

The only point I took exception was near the end, where the President takes credit for giving the kids their classrooms and text books and computers and such; "I’m working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books, equipment and computers you need to learn." Excuse me Mr. President, but my taxes and my donations and time and effort provide much of those things you mentioned. I thought this was a little of what everyone was worried about, I mean can't you see kids out there telling their parents, "President Obama gives us our books and computers at school mommy, he's awesome!" That just makes me feel a little queasy.

But I have to give the people of this country that spoke up about it credit in changing the tone of the speech. He had the Education Dept. send out outlines and study guides to help teachers with discussions after the speech. They had questions like " Write a letter to yourself stating how you can help the President" and such. This was changed and those items deleted from the study guide because of the stink many Americans made. I think now we will here from the media and critics of the folks that took their kids out of school and such that "they were wrong about the speech so they must be wrong about everything else." Well, we don't know what the speech was going to be like before the stink was made so that dog won't hunt.

I say, well done Mr. President, telling our kids to stay in school, don't let your circumstances stop you from getting your education and do it for your country. Just back down a little on the ego, all right!

Do They Have a Mirror?

Can they see themselves? They, the Obama administration and the Congressional Democrats, are being accused of taking this country down the road to a communal state, socialism or fascism. And yet, they are doing things that can only be interpreted as doing just that and promoting this type of government system around the world.

The first example is the hideous way this administration has reacted to the small, but democratic republic of Honduras and their ousting of their corrupt, drug running president with eyes on a Chaves style dictatorship. As I have stated in my previous post, "We are All Hondurans Now" , the Honduran government has followed their constitution and the removal of Pres. Manuel Zelaya. And it was approved by their supreme court and the attorney general of Honduras. The Vise. President, Zelaya's VP from the same party, is now acting president and has vowed to step down after he served out the rest of Zelaya's term. He will run I'm sure, but this was not a "military Coup".

But what is the reaction of the Obama administration? They cut off most diplomatic ties, and turned away, or kicked out diplomats from the US. Foreign aid has been cut off, and they have told the world that Honduras must reinstate Zelaya. So they agree with Chaves, Castro, Noriega, and the UN. Way to support Democracy Barry, I guess birds of a feather screech to together.

Another point is the defence and admiration of Obama's Green Czar....er.....presidential Advisor, Van Jones. This man has done nothing but expound the ugly, statist views that are what we feared from the "One". He slams all that is good about our great country. All he sees is the worst, and has shown himself as a racist and a self avowed communist. But yet, the WH just brushes off his connections with radicals of all kinds. Thank you Glenn Beck for exposing this dirt bag for the hater he is. I've never seen a person express these views with such arrogance and hostility toward his fellow citizens.

He is a "Truther" who believes, or did believe, that President Bush 43, was an active participant in bring 9/11 to come about. And they call "Birthers" nut jobs, this man thinks that our government, yes I don't trust them but come on, orchestrated the 9/11 hijacking and the bringing down of the WTC and bombing the Pentagon. There is no comparison when it comes to the nuttiness of this to the birthers, this goes beyond just lack of trust, it is an out and out vial hatred of our government, and our way of life. I can't comprehend the mind that can think that we, the government, would kill 3,000 of our own. And this administration knew of his past, and brought him on anyway, and then they ask why we don't trust this president's judgement!

And now, to top off a great summer season of praising our enemies and jumping on our friends, the WH and State Dept. are going to "celebrate" the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Ah, the Chi-coms, what a country. They will celebrate a country were over 70,000,000 of it's citizens were murdered by their "great leader". They killed far more people than Hitler or Stalin, yet we go about trading with them and selling them our debt. And when you owe someone money, they have a lot of control over you. NOT a good thing, when you see how they treat their own citizens; just think how they'd treat debtors or a foe. And now we have Dems coming out and praising them.

Do the people that surround Obama see what we're all seeing out here, outside the beltway? We see this WH slamming old friends like Honduras, (and Israel), and siding with socialist dictators. We see them defend a man that spews hate and thinks Bush caused 9/11 so he could go fight an unjust war, for oil (have you seen oil prices since we started killing terrorists?). And now, the Great People's Republic of China is praised for their 60th B-day, and the WH will raise their flag on WH grounds. That should look good back home in Beijing on the People's news.

All they need to do now is knuckle under to Russia and not go forward with the missile defence shield in eastern Europe and ......what......that's not going to happen either...... wow, didn't see that coming.

UPDATE: Van Jones, the Green Czar has resigned, Can I get an Amen! Way to go GP and Glenn Beck. I hope this makes a trend.

I saw this on Theo Spark and remembered seeing Mr. Reese on TV when I was a child. He was the Conservative in a "Point - Counter Point" segment on WFTV channel 9, ABC's affiliate in Orlando, FL. He was also a columnist for The Orlando Sentinel for quite a long time and seeing him out of the blue brought back so many memories. Theo Spark got this from "Stormbringer".

This column is right on the money, I think it should be read word for word at Tea Party rallies and other events where we the people gather to make our voices heard.

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the Speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted - by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq, it's because they want them in Iraq.

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy", "inflation", or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

We must do all we can to stop this and return this country, this shining light on the hill, to its rightful place among the world. We are the leader of the free world, and we must stay the leader, for if not us, whom? Please listen to Mr. Hannan, and pay heed to his warning. We mustn't loose sight of from where we have come, and from whom we have come.

Our fathers gave us a form of government that is the envy of the world, and yet we let it slip our grasp, like we're hanging of a cliff, with rock and water below us, and not caring which we hit once we let go. I say don't let go, do more, climb back up on top of the mountain were we belong, and show the world what Freedom and Liberty are truly all about.

WE DO SUROUND THEM!!!

In every state, all 57, we surround them. Even in New York, New Jersey and even in California, we, Conservatives, surround Liberals as a political force in this great country. Just click on the chart from Gallup and see that here, in my home state of Florida, we have a 19% advantage. In Louisiana, conservatives out number libs by 33%; and this is the state that has been run by raving liberal lunatics for years, until the arrival of Bobby Jindal, God Bless him.

This just justifies the town hall turnout and outrage. We do surround them, by numbers as high as 34%, and the media and the administration wonder why they see the out cry at the town hall meetings, it's because we are not the silent majority any more!

At the IBEW Local 606 Union Hall last night, my Congressman, Alan Grayson, the couragouse, hid behind his kids at his first, and I'm sure, only town hall meeting of his summer vacation. The hall only held 125 folks, and he held a Democrat meeting first, so only a small portion of the seats were available to the almost 1,000 folks that showed up. And that was amazing, because the coward announced the meeting at 8:30pm, Sunday night, for a 7:45pm meeting Monday evening. And when I say this wimp hid behind his kids, he literally told the "mob" to be civil, because his kids were there in the hall with him. God help them and keep them, for having him as a father must truly be a downer.

Now I just went out to find some picks of the event in our local media, and low and behold, what did I find on the News13, Brighthouse website. This short story, here, and as a sidebar for additional information, 3 web sites, Reality check (the Whitehouse), How Florida will Benefit (Healthreform.gov) and Coverage Denied (Healthreform.gov). Wow, I sure am glad the media is so FAIR on this subject. I do count on this cable "news" station for weather, but I'll be damned if I'll watch them anymore for real local news. Not one opposing view to look at. And you wonder why so many people don't realize that WE, Conservatives, are the majority, We Surround Them!

OH! I forgot to mention, My Voice Was Heard! I was called by, yes, Gallup, Sunday night. So I hope I helped put us over the top. I've always felt that my views were not out of the mainstream, and now, seeing this poling data, I feel I am right. The vast majority of folks I talk to and do business with see things pretty much as I do. We've got to much government and passing this bill will only bring on more, at a time when we have even less money to pay for government. It's just that simple, we've got too much and we can't afford more.

When You Can't Say Something Nice....Call Them Nazis?

As the Democrats in Congress go home for their "well deserved" summer break, they are finding themselves at the pointy ends of torches and pitchforks, ( I only wish it were literal) at town hall meetings. It seems they are running into a few constituents that are not at all pleased to be possibly losing their health insurance that 85% of them seem to actually like!

These folks are just like you and me, you know, the Tea Party folks, and we have found our voices. Like the gentleman that thought it should take a little more time for us to go down the road of socialised medicine than it took for Obama to make up his mind on what kind of dog to have as the White house pet. Or the lady that pointed out that Social Security is broke, Medicare and Medicaid are broke, and the Congress wants us to let them run 17% of our economy when they can't even run a "Cash for Clunkers" program right. These people make good, valid points and make them forcefully. And what does the administration call these good citizens exercising their God given rights....An Angry Mob.

Here's Nancy Polosi throwing her 2 cents in on what she thinks about us:

Carrying Swastikas? Show me Nancy, I've never seen them, not on any video, or at any Tea Party rally. And don't you think the news rats would be jumping on this if it were true like they would on moldy chunk of Limburger in the corner. I have only seen true patriots at these rallies and town hall meeting.

Now, to the heart of the matter. All it takes is a little research and you can find that the $1 Trillion dollar price tag for the next 10 years is an outrage. I found, with just a little research that an individual can get coverage, good coverage for a cost of about $1,300 per year and very good coverage for about $1800 per year. That's a single man, 45 non-smoker living in FLA. If we, the U.S. gave the 35 million folks that don't have coverage, that's the full number the administration says don't have coverage, minus 12 million illegal aliens that should get the hell out of our country and knock on the front door.....ah, but I digress..... If we gave these folks health insurance it would cost $45,500,000,000 a year or $455 billion for 10 years. And if we could provide these folks with coverage, don't you think rates would come down. And this is without any government programs, them just paying for it through private insurance companies.

God!, it's not rocket science, if I can do the math you'd think a well educated, noise in the air, master of the universe congressman or congresswoman could count that high. Try it yourself, go on line, to a health insurance web site that provides free quotes and calculate if for your self. My plans gave me $5 million per person life time coverage, plenty of doctor visits, drug coverage, and reasonable deductibles. And again, if 35 million folks were added, don't you think the costs would go down?

Now don't get me wrong, I don't want our government paying for this, but it's not hard to go out there and do this on your own. So why don't more people do it? Because it's a freak'n free country and they don't have to......unless we allow our government to force us to.

What I find encouraging with all the "Angry Mobs" is that you can see the fear in the Congressman's faces, and that's how it should be. The government should fear the people, not the other way around. And our fear is now turning in to anger and that anger is turning in to action.

Honor a Fallen Soldier...amazing video
Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009 . The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time. Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. The link below is a short travelogue of that day’s remarkable and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored.

Watching this, seeing the thousands of people in the small towns of GA, the flags, the police, fire departments, the uniformed men and women, it made me feel good that I'm not alone in knowing of the sacrifice our bravest give. The video is hand-held and jerky, but seeing the people and listening to the music, it makes for moving few minutes. I'm sure the vast majority of these folks never met Sergeant Beale, but they honored him because he fought for them, and he died for them.

Surrounded by an "Iron Curtain", JFK let the USSR know that the free world would not let the strangulation of West Berlin stand. He said that we, the free world, were all Berliners and we stood with the free people of West Berlin, and West Germany, in defiance of the dictatorship of Khrushchev and the Eastern Block. It was powerful, it was inspiring, and it was history.

Now, with a little country surrounded by thugs and dictators, Chavez, Castro and Ortega, and the UN wanting to "meddle" in their business, Honduras, a western hemisphere democracy, is getting no support from our government, in fact, they are getting hammered form all sides from the Obama administration.

Props to Gateway Pundit and his relentless hounding on this story. This is the a great illustration of the difference in today's democratic party and the democratic party of our fathers generation. Obama states that he doesn't want to be seen as meddling in the affairs of our enemies like Iran, even when they are shooting protesters in the streets that are seeking to be heard by the world in their quest for democracy. He has turned a deaf ear to them, and to the vast majority of Honduran citizens that supported the ousting of their president that was trashing their constitution. And there is the reason for the Obama's unwillingness to speak out on behalf of the freedom wanting people of Honduras, they are upholding their own constitution.

The president of Honduras, Chavez-lackey Manuel Zelaya, was ginning up a group of thugs to push through a referendum that would have subverted their constitution and allowed for a vote to let him stay in office, basically to become another Chavez style dictator. This type of referendum is only allowed to be put to the people by the Honduran congress and he, with help from Chavez, was going to do it himself, which their supreme court and attorney general, all constitutionally authorized folks, said was illegal. He started the process, asking the head of the Honduran army to help and the general said NO. Zelaya fired him, the supreme court reinstated him, and Zelaya fired him again. The AG, acting under the authority of the Honduran supreme court and the constitution had Zelaya arrested by the army, the only true law enforcement in the country, and had him exiled to Costa Rica.

Now the news, even FOX news, (listen to Shep Smith go on with "Listen to this!" showing his true colors) showed pictures and stories of some protesters wanting Zelaya back, but what they didn't show was the tens of thousands marching in the streets in support of the former VP, now president, Micheletti, who said that if Zelaya tries to come back to his country, he will be arrested for his crimes, plus for drug trafficking crimes that have been documented and our own DEA knows about. For this strong stand against the forces of Statism and fascism, what does this little, poor country get........ a slap in the face from the US, from their democratic brothers in the Organization of American States and of course the UN; they have all come down on the side of Chavez, Castro and Ortega. This is a shame and a disgrace on the US and any freedom loving people in the world. We must do as Pres. Kennedy said, "...support any friend and oppose any foe...." to keep democracy and freedom alive in this world we now live.

Is it just me or do we now seem to live in a world that is just forgetting what we did 233 year ago this coming July 4th. We created a land of freedom loving people and invited those of the world to come and join us. We pledged to support those that sought freedom and liberty in their own lands. We sacrificed our blood and treasure for the sake of liberty and in fighting those that would take it from us or deny it to others. And yet, today, we see this little country, standing on its own, with no support from our government or the rest of the world, defying all to protect what is most valuable to them, their laws that provide them the freedom and liberty to live as they choose.

We once had that fire in our bellies, do we still? Do we have the will to protect what is the last, best hope for man kind, the United States of America,the idea that we still hold on to by the threads of a stepped on, burned up, spat upon Old Glory. I say we do and the people that I know still do. They I'm sure will understand when I say, We are all Honduran today! Viva Liberty! Viva Freedom! Viva Honduras!

Pray for them and for us, for this struggle may be to big for us alone, but we are never alone in a righteous fight.

MORE, NOT LESS Dependence on Foreign Oil with Cap-n-Tax

This is what Cap and Trade will get us. More oil coming from places like this, Saudi Arabian dirty oil fields and not from the technology of the US and our much cleaner oil industry. Why you ask, because with the Waxman-Markey energy bill, US oil companies will be forced, because of competition, to import even more oil, but not crude oil, but finished, refined products like gasoline, and diesel, jet fuel and the like.

With the higher costs that come with Cap and Trade, the domestic oil refineries will pay more to produce these products, and if so, will import the refined products because, here's the good part, imported refined products won't have the disadvantage of being produced here, in the US, under the Waxman-Markey Cap and TAX bill. You've heard this here before but it bares repeating, if you want less of something, TAX IT!

In this Bloomberg article, Big Oil’s Answer to Carbon Law May Be Fuel Imports , Jim Mulva of Conoco Phillips, states that the C-n-T will impose and imbalance in the costs for domestic refiners, that is will force them to import more refined product and slow or close plants here in the US to avoid the extra costs. “It will lead to the opportunity for foreign sources to bring in transportation fuels at a lower cost, which will have an adverse impact to our industry, potential shutdown of refineries and investment and, ultimately, employment,”

Contrary to President Barack Obama’s goal of reducing dependence on overseas energy suppliers, the bill would incent U.S. refiners to import more fuel, said Clayton Mahaffey, an analyst at RedChip Cos. in Maitland, Florida.
“They’ll be searching the globe for refined products that don’t carry the same level of carbon costs,” said Mahaffey, a former Exxon Corp. refinery manager.

The Bloomberg artical continues; Drivers, airlines and trucking companies would pay an additional $178 billion annually, or about $560 for each man, woman and child in the U.S., according to the API, whose 400 members include Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil and the U.S. unit of Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Europe’s largest oil company.

“That kind of price impact would significantly hurt the competitiveness of U.S. refiners versus importers,” said Glenn McGinnis, chief executive officer at Arizona Clean Fuels Yuma, a Phoenix-based company that’s attempting to build the nation’s first new refinery in three decades.

And what this bill is purported to do is decrease dependence on foreign sources of fuel, and keep the carbon foot print of the US from growing. Well, I'll think you know where I'd to put my foot print, but I'll have to make that known at the ballot box in 2010, because not one of our Florida Democrat Congressman, that includes our own Allan Greyson, voted to stop this 1300 page plus roll of TP from getting passed, they all voted for it. And they didn't even read the thing, yet they sign their names to it, that should tell you everything you need to know.

I emailed Rep. Greyson and got a response, here's part of it;

"Currently there are a number of bills being debated in the House of Representatives regarding energy policy. One of the most prominent bills, H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act, recently passed the House Energy & Commerce Committee by a 33-25 vote. The bill has also been referred to 8 other House Committees who maintain jurisdiction. H.R. 2454 provides a comprehensive strategy to help reduce America's dependency on foreign oil, significantly cut carbon emissions by 2050, bolster the development and implementation of renewable energy sources, and increase overall energy efficiency standards. Because H.R. 2454 has not come before either of my committees, I have not able to participate in the initial discussions regarding the bill. However, please know that I will keep the best interests of my constituents in mind should an energy bill come before the House for a vote. "

The highlighted section shows one of the goals, "to help reduce America's dependency on foreign oil". He also goes on about how he hasn't been in on the discussions about the bill because it hasn't come up in any of his committees. And this response was dated June 26th, 2009, and low and behold, the bill passed June 26th, 2009. What a piece of work this guy is, not reading the bill and voting to pass it, and he has the sack to tell me, "However, please know that I will keep the best interests of my constituents in mind "........ what a joke.

This bill will not protect the environment because we will import from countries that don't give a rip about it. It will not reduce our dependence as I've stated above, but it will lower our standard of living by imposing artificial caps on our use of energy. This bill, based on the junk science global warming, will only speed the downfall of this great nation, and dim the shining light on the hill.

Obama Drops Case of Voter Intimidation....Look Out in 2010

Charges brought against these thugs, Black Panthers standing in front of a poling place in Phillie, were dropped by the Obama Justice Department. These two dirt bags stood in front of a poling place and verbally assaulted voters, white and black alike, saying to one white voter, "you are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker." They stood there, one holding a night stick or baton of some kind, slapping it in his hand in a threatening manor, as voters walked passed.

Out of all the reports back in 2000 and 2004 of voters with African heritage being turned away or intimidated by police or others to their poling places, which was never found to be true by any investigation, this disgusting display of intimidation from the other side, goes unpunished. Oh, my bad, they got a restraining order to say the can't do it again, what a bunch of dog squeeze. These guys should be put in jail for violating the rights of voters, for assault, which is verbal threats, and for being two of the dumbest A-holes on the planet.

I wrote about this on election day last year, here's my entry. Is this what we should expect in the Obamanation? It looks like it, just ask the Chrysler dealers that gave to the GOP, they're getting the boot, as dealers that gave to Dear Leader stay open or even expand. H/T to Gateway Pundit.

Empathise This....

Wow, who said that, what a bigoted, racist comment. There's no way someone who believes such a thing would ever get 100 miles from the U.S. Supreme Court, let alone be nominated to it.

Again, I'm am guilty of sarcasm, and I changed that comment above, pointing out the incredible double standard in the liberal mind these days. Just switch the "white male" with the "latina woman" and you have exactly what Obama's nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Sotomayor, said in 2001. What would have happened if a white male had said such a thing; he'd be out so fast his robes would be flapping in the wind like Superman's cape when he was screaming around the earth, saving Lois Lane by reversing the earth's rotation.

What does she have that will make it impossible for her to not get apporved? She has an education, 2nd in class at Princeton, not bad. Yale Law School, Okay. So education, check. Time on the bench. She was nominated in 1991 by Bush 41 to the Federal bench, who also nominated Judge Souter, the jurist she will be replacing. So 18 years on the bench, check. She is considered a "centrist" by the ABA Journal, big whip! But she has made some rulings that should make her seem not so far left.

She sided with the Bush 43 administration in regards to US funding of abortions in Mexico City. And she sited the US constitution in doing so. Sounds good. But that's about it for the positives.

What makes me feel strongly that she will be a disaster on the court is the fact that Obama is nominating her because he wanted someone that will use their "empathy" when making rulings on the bench. What The .......

Being a judge is dealing with weighty questions that can affect us all. A judge can feel empathy for one of the parties in front of them, they can feel compassion and even identify with them. BUT, and again there's always a BUT, applying the law requires that judges put those personal feeling of empathy aside and refer to the law, and in her case, the U.S. Constitution, in providing the reasoning and backing to her rulings. This, the rule of law, is the only thing that can be used in performance of her duties. In the oath taken by Federal Judges it states: “I, __________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as (name of position) under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.”

I've highlighted the parts that will make it very hard for her to rule with empathy. She has made the following statement: “[W]e who judge must not deny the differences resulting from experience or heritage but attempt . . . continuously to judge when those opinions, sympathies, and prejudices are appropriate.” They're never approprate Judge Sotomayor, never!

And one of the other reasons for us to be afraid, be very afraid is this:

32 seconds into this clip she states; "the court of appeals is where policy is made...". Really, that's scary. She goes on, trying to dismiss her statement, but that is very telling of her mindset.

So, it looks like we'll be getting another liberal replacing a liberal, pretty much a wash. I say use this confirmation hearings to show just what kind of justice she will be and make sure the public is aware of what they've bought with Obama as President. And as he said in his speech this morning...."you ain't' seen noth'n yet......" Oh My!

Memorial Day, 2009 - One I Will Always Remember

My Memorial Day started off like most others, not much planned, but for a conversation with my mother telling me of a service at the Glen Haven Memorial cemetery at 11:00am that day. I knew that most cemeteries had services, but I'd rarely attended. But today I thought I'd make the effort. It made it easier that I'd be on that side of town that day anyway. So I went.

As I approached the seats, listening to the band playing patriotic music, I started walking in the grass to get under the tent set up for guests. My mom said she'd be there, and I was going to look for her, but I noticed something. Over the past week or two, we have had some of the wettest weather we've ever had here in Central Florida, some places receiving over 27 inches in one week. So as I approached I started hearing the squish, squish of standing water. The chairs were set up in the lowest area in the cemetery, but folks still sat there. I guess a sunburn would hurt more than trench foot. But I stayed dry and bared the sun.

I'm glad I did, for if I would have stayed cool under the tent I wouldn't have stood next to a retired solder, a Vietnam vet, I never got his name. We didn't say too much, but I started up our acquaintance by pointing out a man's flag next to us, a little one on a stick, was on the ground. After trying to make him aware of the discomfort I felt seeing it there, I picked it up and said, "especially on a day like today, this shouldn't be on the ground" and handed it to him. He walked off, I don't know if he truly heard me, but the vet next to me said " he's from a different generation", and I agreed.

But trying to think positive, I nudged the vet and pointed to the JROTC students standing ready to take part in the ceremonies and said " but there's hope for the next generation", and he smiled. We started slowly talking, I could see his discomfort, and as we went on, he told me that this was the first M-Day service that he'd ever been to since his war days. He said he'd been in two tours of duty, in '68 & '69, serving in the army. I listened as he told me about being in an attack helicopter unit, with gun ships and skips and then, with a chocked voice, he pulled out a framed picture, 3x5, of his best friend in country. His friend never made it back and I realized this must have been one, if not the first time he had shown this picture to a stranger. I truly felt honored to be holding it, this precious memory of his. I was humbled to say the least, and I stood there, blinking back tears, I could tell he had a lot of healing still to do.

As the ceremony progressed, the JROTC students performed a fallen solder tribute that struck home for both of us. The picture at the top of the entry shows the end result, but as the boys and girls performed it, you could tell, not a dry eye was to be had; even through my new friend’s sunglasses, I could tell by the frown and bowed head that he was moved to tears. The students brought out the rifle, boots, helmet, dog tags and placed them in the traditional way, in honor of the fallen. And as they did, other students, dressed in uniforms of the battles our best have fought and died in, came and stood behind the tribute, looking down at it with reverence. I was truly inspired and hopeful for our country's future seeing these young people showing heart felt patriotism. I know it exists, but to see it in person, in action, was uplifting to say the least.

As the ending of the ceremony was nearing, I knew I had to leave before it was over. I took the opportunity, as the solders, past and current, were asked to stand and be recognized for their service. Since my new friend was already standing, I patted him on the back, and offered my had to shake, and said "thank you for your service to our country", and I could tell he was appreciative as he looked me in the eye and said "you're welcome". I then left feeling honored to have made this first M-day service of his a little easier to get through, I thought it was the least I could do for him. I felt it was my duty after he confessed to me his apprehension of the day.

I had one other reason to be there that day, a even more personal reason. My father, who passed away April 18th, 1996, was resting there. So as I walked to my car, I made a point to stop by his grave and stood at the foot. I thought that today it would be appropriate that I give him a salute; he was in the USAF and served 3 years active and 25 year in the reserves reaching Lt. Col.. He was an honorable man, and he loved his country. He was buried with military honors, performed by the Orange County Sheriff's department. He was a Circuit Court Judge for 14 years before he passed, and a flag draped his coffin. So, I thought it was appropriate that, on Memorial Day, I give him a salute, the way he had taught me as a young man.

And as I did, the sound of a 21 gun salute cracked the silence....one round, then the next, then the final one. Then, just as it had happened on that day in April, 1996, TAPS rang out from the distance, and the scene of my father's grave side service was vividly back in my mind. I was motionless for a few moments, standing there and thinking that dad, my father was there with me and had pulled me to leave at that time, so that I might feel that feeling again, the pride, the pain, the honor of that day.

It started out as an average Memorial day, but I will always know that this Memorial Day, May 25th, 2009, will be one I remember and cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you my new Vietnam vet friend, thank you to all that have served and that have died for this country, thanks to the JROTC students that gave me hope and thanks dad for making this day so dear to me. I will always remember you and your hand guiding me through the day.

Housing and Employment, Signs of Recovery?

Well, it looks like the recovery is the light we see at the end of the tunnel, prices seem to be bottoming out, sales seem to be rising, and unemployment is not growing as fast.....it all sound Great doesn't it!

Okay, if you've read any of my stuff, you that that first line is dripping wet with sarcasm. I hate to be the barer of not so good news, but I don't see things as perky as the AP, The Times, Reuters or any of the Obamedia that seems to be avoiding some very large elephants in the room.

First, Housing prices. There has been a slow-down in price declines and even some markets a slight increase in prices for housing. Is the cause a reversal of the housing market, bottoming out as some might say, or.......could it be that the Fannie & Freddie moratorium on foreclosures has created a small bubble of its owe. Here in Central Florida, where I work as a Mortgage Officer, March 09, we saw a drop in inventory to a level that was encouraging. I deal a lot with Realtors that list Fannie foreclosures and they shared with me sales info that showed that this area's inventory dropped to 11 months. This means that if sales and inventory remained the same, it would take 11 months to sell all the homes listed. Wow, that sounded great. But, and there's always a But, we reminded ourselves that Fannie and Freddie hadn't foreclosed on any homes in the last 5 months or so. What does that mean?

It means that there is a back log of foreclosed properties that will come on to the market in the next few months, killing the prices and driving up inventories. Again, when government gets involved and doesn't let the markets work them selves out, we see artificial movements in those markets and the news can be pushed by the media, in this case as good news, or if this was happening in the Bush years, they would be mentioning everything I just said.

On the employment front, the news is that we "Only lost 529,000 jobs in April, less than predicted and the smallest amount in 6 months". But have we forgot something coming around the bend in that tunnel, like the Chrysler BR and the soon BR of GM? You may think that these two companies employ quite a lot of folks, but if we're recovering, that won't be so bad, we can handle it. But these companies don't just employ folks, they make employment possible for hundreds, if not thousands of smaller companies and mom & pop shops, making all the items that go into the cars they build and parts stores for after market goods. This is not to mention the stores and services that rely on the income of the workers, feeding their families, buying their clothes, going to the doctor......and every other mundane job that families do everyday. This will be a significant blow to our economy, driving unemployment up to over 10% (my prediction). And then, GM comes out says, after their restructure is over, that they will be moving quite a few of the lost jobs overseas, never to be seen again in this country.

Look, I'm usually the "glass if half full" kind of guy, however hard it's been to be that way recently, but is it me or are the media and government officials trying to talk us out of a recession, not paying attention to the short term future I've just mentioned.

I do see a light at the end of the tunnel, my only fear is that it's a diesel locomotive, which by the way isn't carrying GM or Chrysler cars.

The only positive I see is the stock market, which, as BAHL's Blog points out, is one of the best indicators of a soon-to-be recovery. Let's hope that he is right and I am wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

Was the Oath an Omen?

Do you remember this? Obama and the Chief Justice having a "do-over" because they screwed the oath of office up on inauguration day. I was thinking, this is not a good sign!

And how that portentous sign has been coming true. I wanted to wait for the first 100 days to be over before I wrote about them, but how much more do we have to see to know that this guy, and his hand picked minions, don't have the first clue on how to run a hot dog stand, let alone the world's largest, strongest and most powerful nation. At least it is for now.

Let's take a walk down the short but very filled memory lane of President Obama's first 100 days....errrr.... or so.

After fumbling the opening kickoff, he goes back and takes the oath of office, but as you can see, no bible....oooops.

Then for an opening play, he turns the ball over to our opponents, the friendly jihadists down in Gitmo. He stops all trials and then says we will have 365 days to close the place down. And we're going to keep these wonderful folks where?!

( on a red flag, official time out, we're reviewing the play, and.....yes, we did, we did get information that saved thousands of lives, and, wait......yes, yes, we will be prosecuting the Bush administration officials that authorised the use of "harsh" interrogation techniques to get that info. Now back to you in booth)

Now, back to the game, and how expensive this game has become, when Great Leader gets his $800+ Billion dollar "stimulus" bill passed, that really, do you feel the least bit stimulated right now? Did we have to do something, maybe, but this bill was the worst thing that could have happened. 80% of these funds won't be spent until 2010, and that's stimulus how? It got whittled down to around $700 Billion, whew!, but that was just the start.

To through in a oldie but a goodie, he just went ahead and reversed the ban on the use of Federal funds for abortions performed in countries other than ours, namely Mexico. Now that he let us see that he's playing from the tried and true liberal, demo play book, we can see the game plan forming, but we can't seem do anything about what was coming.

Now, back down to the sidelines, and here's Obama with his first interview, oh but wait, it's not with us, it's with another reporter, an Arabic news reporter, let's see if we can hear some of what is being said........."arrogant" yes, yes, we heard the word arrogant, who could have seen that one coming? Back to you upstairs...

Well, I'm sure that was the last time we are going to hear that word.

Okay, back to the game. The ball is on the 20, the G20, and that play went over like a Led Zeppelin. Going to England and first making a fool of himself, and the First Lady, by touching the queen, wow, can you say....faux pas. And this after he "disses" the PM of England, Gordan Brown, by giving him DVDs as his gift for his first visit to the White house. Nothing says "Harvard educated" like a gift of movies to an almost blind man.Then, with 2 minutes to go until half time, Obama stages a big play, going on a European tour trying to drum up support for our war in Afghanistan. And how does he inspire the free world to follow him down the field, he starts slamming his own team.

Nothing like going over to the other side of the field, and telling your opponent that they have been wronged, and it was our team's fault that they have suffered. You know, it's because of all of our arrogance, yikes, there's that word again.

And now a word from our sponsor, Pontiac......what......NOOOOOO......really, not going to be made any more.......that sucks. I know a few folks that are going to be really bummed about that one. Well, back to the game.

Oh, here's another report from the side lines, Obama is now in the other team's huddle, shaking hands and giving those pearly whites a workout. Look at him go; there's Ortega spouting on about how bad our team is, and there's Obama, just listening, he's such a good listener. And there's Chavez, going in for the hand shake and.......yes, there it is, Oh! and not just any hand shake, he got the "what'sup my broth'a from another moth'a" hand shake and the "catch ya lat'a" look from his new friend the "prezzz".

Let's see what other teams these guys have been on before; Nice.

Now this guy plays fair, never cheats, and always shake hands after the game, of course unless you're a Jew.

There's a lot we didn't get to see on this highlight film of these first 100 days of Pres. Obama, but hey, the hits just keep coming. The first 100 days, that means, on the bright side, there are 100 day fewer to the next election, one where we can maybe select some new draft picks, and bring in some veteran players as well. But for now, we must press on, keeping an eye on the game at hand. Let's call penalties when we see them, and a pat on the butt for something he may do right, you know, the blind hog and the nut story, and let's make it through this together. Go Team GO!

How Can We Keep the Party Moving....?

With over 500,000 patriots coming together last Wednesday, April 15th, we saw the voice of a movement rising up and becoming stronger. The "Tea Parties" as they were called, sprang from a ground swell of the voting public that has seen their views devalued by not just the majority power in Washington D.C., the Democrats, but also by most of their own party, the Republicans. As I have mentioned in past posts, I have stayed true to my conservative values, but my party, the Republican party has seen fit to veer off course. They oppose most of what is being done right now by the Demo leaders in Washington, but they were doing much of it themselves the first 6 years of the Bush administration, all be it not to this extent. So I have made a decision, one that I think many of us that have participated, in person or in support, in the "Tea Party" movement should consider as a way to make our voices heard and become even more powerful.

I have left the Republican party, not for the Demo party, that could never happen, and not to the Libertarian party or Green or any other party. I have registered as an "Independent". It seemed that the media always referred to the independents, in the middle, as the voters that will make or break an election. So why not join them, they seem to have the power, don't they. And I propose to make this, becoming an "Independent", part of our Tea party movement. Here's how;

We become the "I.T. Party", which stands for the "Independent Tea Party" errr...party. It's not an official political party, but an Independent voters movement. The two party system is failing us right now, it may get back on track, but for now both parties, well... suck!

And think about it, I.T., it sounds so intellectually technical, and it's very easy to spell, anyone that knows me knows how important that is for me. But the true meaning of it, I mean I.T., is the shouting of our collective voices, as individuals, saying listen to us, each of us, we matter, I matter. For our voices to be heard we need to break free of what we are comfortable doing, selecting the lesser of two evils, or voting down the party line with the feeling that this party is closer to my values but not really close; and hopefully we can make a choice of someone that thinks, Independently, about what is right, as in righteous, and not about what is right or left, or what will keep their job approval high or other B.S.; but independent thought about what is right for America.

I propose a simple sign for our movement, the Tea bag with "I.T. Party" as its logo. If enough voters change to "Independent", then the parties will have to listen, because it will be us, those non-affiliated voters, that they will be trying to win over.

So join the "I.T. Party" the Independent Tea Party today, so we can be heard by the parties that be in Washington.

It can't be said much better than this, Glenn Beck standing in front of 15,000 law abiding, law loving and peaceful folks, tells it like I'd like to say it. I wasn't able to attend yesterdays rallies, but I am in awe of how many people came together, sounding as one and as individuals, telling Washington that Enough Is Enough!

But yet, try and find coverage of this in our local paper's online web site, it's not there. I'm talking about the Orlando "Slantinel" Sentinel. We had a good crowd looking at the pictures from high in a building next to City Hall, where is was held. But try to find coverage on the web site, I refuse to purchase the litter-box liner, and you will not find a peep.

Today, Glenn Beck mentioned on his show that the crowd, 2 hours before the start of the event was about 4,500, and that is what was reported in the San Antonio news. But at the start of the event the crowd, estimated by the local police, swelled to 15,000. And this is just one of so many examples of the media trying to quell the news about this, but they can't. This will not stop, this will carry over to July 4th, and then 9-11, and it will keep growing until we do go to Washington, and literally surround them, the congress, by our presence, marching on that town like the Boston citizens charging the British merchant ships, back in 1773. We will through the bums out like an old stale keg of English tea.

Red Fridays

Ladies and Gentlemen - General David Leakey Col Commandant of the Royal Tank Regiment and at present serving at NATO sent the following which I hope will move you as much as it moved me.

Read and pass on please. 'Last week I was in West London attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their uniforms, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering..When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red blooded Briton who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work, and enjoy our home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He knelt down and said 'hi,' the little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her. The young soldier didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy.

Suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek. The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Corporal and had been in Afghanistan for 5 months now. As the mum was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mum was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a Kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying 'Your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.' The mum at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mum.

I was standing no more than 6 feet away as this entire event unfolded. As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own.

That young soldier in one last act of moment turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek. We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's good to be an Englishman.'

This was a story about an English solder, I know, but it just proves to me the quality of the men and women that volunteer for the military, here, and as you've just read, in England as well. It makes me feel better about what are solders are going through, knowing that we have friends like these British solders standing by their side.

What has this world come to? We now look to France and Germany for leadership in the economic crisis we find the world in today. Sarkozy and Merkel are looking to take the reins in London at the G20, and I say...Good. Don't let Obama or Brown near any more checkbooks.

Looking at how Pres. Obama is handling his world affairs, DVD's to PM Brown, and as a good friend of mine put it; "The fickin' eejit gave her an iPod. Azzole." Speaking of the gift Great Leader gave her Royal Highness, the Queen of England. Hey, I'd say he's really improving our image and respect around the world that was lost by Pres. Bush. Truly, what an Azzole!

Thanks BAHL for posting this great Fox News clip, showing the world what an out - n - out sleaze ball Alan Grayson really is. Trying to use the Constitution to excuse this Big Brother law, and not being able to tell Mr. Cavuto what the law he past considers excessive pay. All he talks about is the populist stance of taking on the big exec's that brought down companies and got big bonuses. And he accuses Neil of supporting the big bonuses, using the tactics that he talked about in his interview with Byron York that I posted about yesterday. He doesn't even acknowledge the fact that all, that is ALL, employees are covered under this law.

I am reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand right now, on page 541, just over half way through, and this man would be a perfect pick for any of the looter class characters that have taken the country down the path of socialism and use the laws to gain and maintain power. They always answer questions with questions, never telling you straight forward what they want to say, but always insinuate and use language that, if cornered, can give them an out. I only wish that the outcome I'm sure will take place in the book will be the outcome for Mr. Grayson and the bottom feeders like him. Any person that thinks it's governments place to say what a private business pays its employees is a man that has no place overseeing anyone at anytime, especially in the halls of congress. Work with me please to make sure Congressman Grayson's first term is his last term in office.

Please Mr. Frank, May I Have Some More?

Now Barney wants to say how much you get paid, not just bonus pay for executives of companies that took government money, such as TARP fund or Stimulus money. Now he wants to control the salaries of the regular employees. When I say that he wants to control your salary, just think how many companies fall under the stimulus or TARP money payouts. Almost every bank out there took some of the cheep money made available to them through the FED via TARP. And all the other financial institutions, and there many subsidiaries, car companies and the list goes on.

In Byron York's piece in the Washington Examiner, he tells us, "The purpose of the legislation is to "prohibit unreasonable and excessive compensation and compensation not based on performance standards," according to the bill's language. That includes regular pay, bonuses -- everything -- paid to employees of companies in whom the government has a capital stake, including those that have received funds through the Troubled Assets Relief Program, or TARP, as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."

And this applies to all companies, and all employees, not just the top 20 or 50, but to all. And to make it really vial, it's retroactive, so contracts and pay agreements of any company that took funds will come under this law if passed.

And it gives Timothy (tax cheat) Geithner the authority to decide if a employee's compensation is "unreasonable" or "excessive". "And it directs the Treasury Department to come up with a method to evaluate "the performance of the individual executive or employee to whom the payment relates." And this bill passed the financial services committee 38 to 22, with all the demos voting for it, and to my total disbelief, 2 republicans, what in God where they thinking.

But now I learn near the end of this article that my congressman, Rep. Alan Grayson - D from Florida, wrote this thing. He said this about the bill and who will and will not vote for it, "This bill will show which Republicans are so much on the take from the financial services industry that they're willing to actually bless compensation that has no bearing on performance and is excessive and unreasonable," Grayson said. "We'll find out who are the people who understand that the public's money needs to be protected, and who are the people who simply want to suck up to their patrons on Wall Street."

Suck up to Wall Street, hmmm, and he explains this how; "In 2008, AIG apparently sensed the need to purchase some political insurance of its own. In that election cycle, it donated more generously to Congress than any time since at least 1990, which is the earliest year on The Center for Responsive Politics' online record. That was also the year in which the company decided to cozy up to the Democratic Party. To be sure, the pockets of both parties are lined with AIG's desperation dollars. But Democrats were the primary recipients. Of the $587,000 the company doled out to campaigning lawmakers, nearly $443,000 -- or three-quarters -- went to Democrats, according to the Center." It is very hard for me to describe how I feel right now about Mr. Grayson,with out saying every filthy word I know. I could be feeling contempt, rage...but I will just bide my time, and do all I can to make sure that this sleazy, slimy, a pustule on the festering boil of my congressional district, never goes back to D.C. as a representative of mine. When all politicians seem to be scum-sucking sleazes, he has the gall to say that he and his party are better because they want to trash the constitution, putting the government in charge of what you and I make. But, I'm sure this will be the end of such measures, I mean it couldn't go any further than this............right?

"If You Build It, They Will Drive It"

Not a bad looking ride, and it gets 300 miles to the charge. Yep, I said "charge"! This is the new "S" series, 5 passenger sedan. As I mentioned in my post back in June, 2008, "Drill Now, Nuclear Later" , all Tesla Motors would have to do is enlarge their Roadster, and bring down the cost and it would be a hit. Well, it looks like they listened to me......Okay, I'm sure they had this in the works, but I think it will be a hit. I mean, look at the thing, great lines, and performance that rivals any top selling, gas powered sedans. The cost is still a little high, starting at $49,000. But I'm looking forward to a few years down the road, to something about $30,000 and never paying for gas again.

It can run, like I said before, for 300 miles on one charge, and that charge is just 4 hours. Just park it in your garage and plug it in and you're ready to go for the next day. Instead of using the old style, lead batteries like the current crop of hybrid vehicles sold today, this one uses lithium batteries, much like your cell phone or lap-top computer. These take less time to charge, are lighter and better for the environment.

The performance is fantastic, 0 to 60 is 5.5 seconds or less, better than most gas powered cars out there, and a top speed of 135mph. That's nice to have, but not necessary. But if you need it, scooting past a couple of 18 wheelers or merging in to traffic, it would be nice to know it's there. With electric motors you have instant torque, meaning that there would be no hesitation, just press the peddle and instant power.

And for the "Greenies" out there, just like the roadster, this car has zero emissions. Well, only if we convert to zero emission power, like nuclear. Yes, you could have solar, or wind, and even have it at your home, but for the grand scale of living in this great country, we need nuclear.

Building the new cars of this country's future should be left to the new thinkers out there, like the owners of Tesla Motors. Let's hope the this administration doesn't kill this golden-egg-lay'n goose, like they're killing GM (government motors) and Chrysler.

Do They Hear Us Screaming?

Now that I've had time to reflect on the Orlando Tea Party, held on March 21, 2009, I am even more convinced that we, the conservatives of this nation, need to make our voices heard NOW! All it takes is a quick glance at the headlines to see that we are approaching a tipping point where we'll fall over this cliff we've been shoved to the edge of by this and the last administration. I always mention the Bush administration in my condemnation of our progress towards bigger and more controlling government, because it was the Republican part that controlled the congress for 6 of the 8 years Bush was in office. Pres. Bush only used his veto pen once during those 6 years, banning federal funding of new lines of stem cell research. I approved of that, but he must have lost it after that, because it was never seen again until the Democrats took over in 2006. I have a feeling of why he didn't use it; keeping the congress and senate happy so he could conduct the war on terror around the world without to much intervention from the legislative branch. But that did promote the unbridled spending that started us down our current road. Once the bailouts of Fannie and Freddie happend, we started up the roller coaster hill, and we could see the top coming up on us fast.

Now that Pres. Obama has taken his place at the teleprompter, we have rolled over that first precipice and are now screaming down the first hill of what could be one ugly ride. Let's take a look at the hills and drops we'll be facing, get out the barf-bags, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Okay, everybody put their hands up for this drop....or maybe we'll be putting them up because only the crooks will have the guns. Sec. of State, Hillary Clinton is telling us now, that the drug kingpins in Mexico have assault weapons because of us. I would have agree to a point, I know, it makes me even a little more woozy having to admit that, but if it wasn't for our lax enforcement of our drug and immigration laws, the drug producers and pushers in Mexico wouldn't have the money to buy these weapons. But what is her solution, and the USAG Eric Holder's solution.....reinstate the assault weapons ban again. Wow, that should do it, because if we don't have the guns to sell to them in the US, then there's no other place that these low-life snakes can get them, no place at all. It's not like they could get them from say, China, Pakistan, South America, the mid east, Russia, Somalia, OR ANY OTHER 3RD World hell hole on earth. But if we don't have them, that will make things all better. Oh, by the way, buy all the ammo you can, now!

Okay, here we go up the next hill, ready, now everyone SCREEEEEEEMMMM at the top of your lungs.... and watch as Timothy (tax cheat) Geithner goes for the BIG power move, and asks the Congress for new, unprecedented powers to seize and nationalize companies, private companies, that are seen as a possible threat to our economy. Now of course he would come and seek the input of congress on any of these takeovers, right? NOT! It would be up to Timmy, Obama and Bernake. Just 3 folks, making the decisions on winners and losers. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann asked Timmy where in the Constitution is it written that he can even be given such power. He answered that he can ask the congress for it, and she asked where in the Constitution does it say that Congress can give him such power. Timmy, NO WHERE! The sack on this guy and the administration to even have the thought of doing something like this, it's White-Knuckle-Grip time on the roller coaster seat we're on.

Then Timmy was asked if he thought a global currency was all right with him. Now of course he would say, being in charge of the US Treasury, that there's no way we'd even consider such a thing.......right? Nope! He goes and says, without blinking an eye, that he'd consider it. "Mr Geithner told the Council for Foreign Relations that he had not studied the proposal by Chinese central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan for greater use of Special Drawing Rights in international reserves, but said "we are quite open to that". WHAT!? The dollar dropped hard right after he said this. It came back after he backtracked, but what in God's name is he thinking? It's hard to comprehend what the world would be like, what the US would be like if we went to a world currency. It would be the end of America as we have know it......Oh, wait, that sounds like........everybody......CHANGE!!!

Well, our ride continues and how we stop it is up to us. How we do it is still unknown to me, but I'll be damned if I'm going to sit around and be quiet. That's why the Tea Parties, talk radio, The 9/12 Project and calling and writing your representatives is so important. Make noise, make them listen, WE SURROUND THEM! Let them know it!

Obama's FREDDIE Connection

Isn't it nice to know that we have such experts in our new administration, dealing with all these important issues, like the mortgage melt down, creating new powers to give the Treasury the athority to take over companies that "may" pose a harm to the economy if they fail. They'll just call it a "Preimtive Strike" for the people and the motherland......oops, sorry, the Homeland.

The article goes on about Rahm's well earned compensation of $320,000 for 14 months of sitting on the board of directors. "The board met no more than six times a year. Unlike most fellow directors, Emanuel was not assigned to any of the board's working committees, according to company proxy statements. Immediately upon joining the board, Emanuel and other new directors qualified for $380,000 in stock and options plus a $20,000 annual fee, records indicate."

The article goes on to say, "During his brief time on the board, the company hatched a plan to enhance its political muscle. That scheme, also reviewed by the board, led to a record $3.8 million fine from the Federal Election Commission for illegally using corporate resources to host fundraisers for politicians. Emanuel was the beneficiary of one of those parties after he left the board and ran in 2002 for a seat in Congress from the North Side of Chicago"

Even though Mr. Emanuel says he can't recall most of the meetings he attended, nice "selective memory" on ya there Rahm, "One of Emanuel's fellow directors at Freddie Mac was Neil Hartigan, the former Illinois attorney general. Hartigan said Emanuel's primary contribution was explaining to others on the board how to play the levers of power.

He was respected on the board for his understanding of "the dynamics of the legislative process and the executive branch at senior levels," Hartigan recalled. "I wouldn't say he was outspoken. What he was, was solid."

" how to play the levers of power" But the question to ask is, to play to what end? This term I'm sure is one used often in the IL state and city governments. Again, you can't swim in that cesspool of Chicago politics and not come out stinking to high heaven.

Ahhhh, change we can believe in! Nothing like having the Fox in charge of the hen house, making sure all those chickens are in line with the great leaders vision of where he wants our country to go. What was it the President of the EU, Mirek Topolanek, said, “The US Treasury secretary talks about permanent action and we, at our spring council, were quite alarmed at that . . . The US is repeating mistakes from the 1930s, such as wide-ranging stimuluses, protectionist tendencies and appeals, the Buy American campaign, and so on,” he told a European parliament session in Strasbourg. “All these steps, their combination and their permanency, are the road to hell.”

God! Can we get some plain talk like this in our Congress or Senate. Cheers to you Daniel Hannan, well done. Now if someone, besides most of the bloggers I read, could publicly stand up and say the exact same thing to Pres. Obama, you would hear cheers and "Amen brother" all around our great, yet suffering nation.

Here is Mr. Hannan's interview with Glenn Beck, March 25th, 2009, and he wishes he could have shows like Glenn's in the UK. What a clear thinker, I hope he is a frequent guest of Glenn's show and I do believe he will be seen more and more in the UK political seen after his eloquent smack-down the PM Brown.

A Sunshine Tea Party In Orlando

Now this is what I'd call a "Tea Party". The park officials at the Lake Eola Band Shell said that there were at least 6,000 folks on hand for one of the biggest Tea Party rallies yet this year. Down town Orlando, Florida was a wash in Red, White & Blue, celebrating our values and principals that made this country great and that seem to be fading fast in the wake of what has happened in the last two months since President Obama was sworn in, and even before with things the Bush administration did.

What got me was the fact that so many people feel the same way as I do. They see the slow creep or slither, take your pick, of socialism coming down the slippery slope we seem to have been put on by this administration and by the last one as well. I wanted to post some of the pictures I took while I was there, of the great patriots and signs, so that you may get the feeling of the crowd. Here are some of my favorites:

This one was great, tar -n- feathered pork on a fork. 'bout says it all!

This guy ordered Soviet style metals and ribbons to create quite the convincing "compliance observer". Don't worry thought, in the future, they won't be so easy to spot.......on second thought, worry!

These two young ladies were hanging around afterwards, "Tarp 1 & Tarp 2" very cute and yes, we do have a problem.

I was filled with hope after this, because I saw so many young people there, kids as young as 9, speaking in front of this enormous crowd.

Mrs. First Lady, please do not encircle me in with your "most Americans" paint brush, trying to excuse your lack of knowledge and understanding of what the men and women of our armed services have gone through and are still going through today. I am not like you, I know men and women that have served and that do serve and I have never "taken it for granted". I have, in my family, men that served and men that died for this country. I know first hand the devastation of what a life lost in battle can do to a child, knowing their father will not come home. I've seen what war can do to a body, taking away legs, arms, eyes and the injuries that can't be seen. The men and women of our military and their families make sacrifices every day. It's a shame that you were "pretty oblivious" to them before you became First Lady.

And now, with your husbands impeccable timing, the President comes out just a few days later and tells the military families that if it is up to him, they will now have to pay for insurance to be treated for injuries received in battle. President Obama met with leaders of The American Legion and they were not pleased...

$540 Million Bucks! We give, I mean the administration gives $170 Billion to AIG to keep them afloat for a short time, and they give ACORN Billions as well, for what?; but he says that there's no way for us, for U.S., to come up with $540 Million for the men and women that have put their lives on the line for this country and left parts of themselves on the battle field protecting us! If there ever was a man, a president, that didn't get it, it's this one.

There has always been a contract with the American Soldier, one that, if not written, is one that is understood by every red blooded citizen, that if a GI is wounded in battle or in any roll as a soldier of these United States, that they will be given the best care we can provide for as long has they need it. If someone is willing to lay down their life for you, not just to protect you from harm, but so you can have liberty, and pursue your happiness, don't they deserve your best effort, in return if they are hurt in the process, to heal them and provide for them the best care available. If your like me, your reading this, and that statement sounds as though it shouldn't have to be said, and you feel like saying....well duh.

Can you even think of a person that wouldn't think anything else? Well, there is one, and he is now our President. God help us, God help us all.

"Bush lied, people died" and "Bush is a Fascist" are the familiar catch phrases of the past for left wing-nuts and the like. We were attacked by terrorist, it's Bush's fault...we had an accounting scandal, it's Bush's fault....we got in a war for oil, it's Bush's fault....and so on and so on. Well, now we have President Obama, the holy and omnipotent one that can do no wrong. But wait, everything seems to suck even more than when Bush was in office, how can this be........Rush Limbaugh...the Devil him self, it's his fault.

Rush as been demonised for saying " I want Obama to fail!" Well...So Do I!!! I don't want any harm to come to him in any way, that would be devastating to the country, to race relations we have come so far in and to his beautiful family. But, do I wish that everything he's been doing and everything he wants to do fails, you bet!

I hope people that voted for him are seeing now, unfortunately way to late, how far left he really is. Pundits and spinners kept saying, on the left and on the center-right, that he is a pragmatist, just center left and he'll do things to keep his popularity up and keep power in the hands of the Demos. Well, what do you think now folks, after 5 weeks of Demo donkey dung getting dropped on your heads, what do you think now?

Obama sees himself much like that of Reagan, some one to come along and change the direction of not just where the country is heading, we needed someone to lead, but, as Charles states: "Reagan came to office to do something: shrink government, lower taxes, rebuild American defenses. Obama made clear Tuesday night that he intends to be equally transformative. His three goals: universal health care, universal education, and a new green energy economy highly funded and regulated by government. " The direction he wants to take this country couldn't be more clear...the way of European Socialism.

And we are not only moving in that direction, we are getting shot out at socialism like an Incredible Hulk roller coaster ride, snapping our heads back in our seat and giving us tunnel vision so we can't see the freedoms we're loosing fall by the wayside, like the proverbial hat blown off as we take that first plunge.....(sounding like Dennis Miller more everyday). We keep getting bombarded with numbers that numb us to the size of what all this means. And Obama knows this and uses our blindness to keep going down this track.

But what happens at the end of any roller coaster, after the twists and turns, the ups and downs and the sensory overload, what happens? You feel a sudden jolt and your body jerks forward snapping you back in to reality. And when that happens, what will that reality look like if Obama gets his way..... Yep, you'll realize that we will be living in a country where the government says what medical procedure you can or can't have. Your neighbor's job was eliminated because the "cap and trade" carbon tax made it to expensive for the public utilities company he works for to keep its coal fired power plant open. You go to fill up your tank with gas but you haven't paid your mileage tax yet, so you push your car home and miss work, again. Then at home you go to turn on the TV and realise that there is a brown-out due to the fact that the coal fire plant is shut down.

Wow!, sounds like fun doesn't it! Sure was worth paying for that "Change" ticket, wasn't it? Boy, the rush you felt when he pushed that launch button, wow, look at all the change happening, Wahooo.....but all rides end. How do you want this one to end?

$800,000 Mortgage to a School Bus Driver?

In this CNN clip, a school bus driver is living in a beautiful home she bought using a mortgage product that allowed her to not have to show income, ( the clip doesn't mention the husbands employment), and it sounds as though they got 100% financing. Now, surprise -surprise, they are getting pre-foreclosure notices. They say the bank made it so easy to get the loan, trying to lay blame on the bank and not on her ignorance and stupidity. Now they could have been sold a bill of goods by a mortgage broker that put them in a "Option ARM", a product made for well off, very money savvy folks that works best when someone is able to make lump sum payments when say they get bonuses or large commission type income. But to put someone in a mortgage product that has the possibility for negative amortization and a low minimum payment that doesn't even pay all the monthly interest with each payment, that is low and has hurt the mortgage industry severely. But this person, the school bus driver, had every opportunity to say "No Thanks", from the beginning of the contract process all the way to the end at the closing table. They signed the note and the mortgage, so guess what, they are responsible for what they owe, NOT US!

What could have been going through this person's head when they signed this note? And now, they have the audacity to say that Pres. Obama needs to stop the foreclosures, I say take the home now, while it still has that nice kitchen and cabinets and appliances. This video clip did not say that anyone lost their jobs or they had some big medical bills or anything of that nature, something that might allow a mortgage company to make an exception and modify the mortgage, it just shows her saying that they bought too much house.....GET OUT! Allow the mortgage company to take it back and sell it if they can to recover something, this borrower will never be able to pay it back. And I'll be damned if they take any of my tax money and stop the foreclosure from taking place. She and her family just need to vacate and find an apartment or house to rent for a while, there's plenty of home to rent now as well.

The mentality of this report just underscores the nonsense that is happening with the government intrusion in the banking and housing industries. As long as the Obama administration keeps sticking its head into the free market, it will not be able to recover because the banks and companies will just be wondering......what's next? Uncertainty in the market place concerning taxes or governmental policies were the biggest factor in the slow recovery of the "Great Depression" and it looks as though we are seeing the same mind set with this administration today. Let businesses fail, let individuals fail and let the market do it's thing and we'll see hard choices being made and dead wood cut so that the economy will become lean and healthy again. Obesity is not just a general population problem today, it's a economic and governmental problem as well, we all need to trim our waistlines a few inches.

Hate Speech or Bad Satire?

Now when I look at this, I don't think it's that funny. I immediately think about the latest chimp attack, a god awful incident where a woman was mauled beyond recognition, literally being eaten by this chimp, and then was stabbed by its owner and after attacking the police, was shot to death. Ha ha?
Now we have this cartoon, political satire, to me saying that all it took was a monkey (okay a chimp is not a monkey, I know) to write the stimulus bill. Who do I think of right away, Nancy and Hairy, two of the biggest lightweight intellects in the government. I did not, as Al Sharpton would think, me being a white boy and all, think of Pres. Obama.

After all, he is half white isn't he, so if that's what I thought, I'd have to think that I'm pretty much a chimp myself, and ask anyone who knows me, I'm much better looking than a chimp! What hog-wash to label this as hate speech or anything close to it, it's political satire, and not very good satire at that. In fact, just like all people that go on about nonsense like this, if Al didn't make a stink out of it, no one would have paid any attention to it and it would have gone on to line bird cages just like all the news paper should. If you thought of Pres. Obama first, I'd like to know. Write me.

Dear (Capm):

Thank you for contacting me about the economic stimulus package. I appreciate hearing your views.The American people are hurting. They are losing their homes, their jobs, their businesses and their life savings. Economists across the political spectrum agree that the government needs to take bold and immediate action to stimulate the economy and curb the risk of a protracted economic recession. I believe that the government has to do something to get us out of this economic tailspin – and doing nothing isn’t an option.

I voted for the economic stimulus package because I believe it is narrowly targeted to spend and invest in ways that will get the economy moving again. It invests in our infrastructure, creating badly needed jobs, and provides critical tax relief to businesses and middle-class Americans. It also shores up unemployment benefits and food stamps, provides aid to seniors and disabled veterans, and invests in our children through 21st Century education. The bill improves access to health care, and promotes energy independence.

I've read the entire stimulus bill and I believe it will preserve and create millions of good-paying jobs, help States like Florida manage budget shortfalls, and advance our infrastructure to meet modern demands. Congress passed the bill on February 13, and President Obama has now signed it into law.

Unfortunately, there has been a lot of misinformation and inaccurate reporting on this legislation. The stimulus bill does nothing to "socialize" medicine. In fact, it does three things that really help people. First, it lowers the cost of insurance for people who lose their jobs. Second, it gives more money to States to cover medical care for low-income Americans and the uninsured through the Medicaid program. And third, it provides federal funding for the development and use of electronic health records to help doctors and hospitals be more efficient.

Based on what I hear from folks across Florida, it’s clear that we need to fix the problems caused by this economic crisis. But we must take care with taxpayer money. Last year I voted against spending $700 billion to bail out Wall Street because the bill lacked meaningful relief for homeowners facing foreclosure and didn't include adequate protections for American taxpayers. I remain committed to reducing wasteful spending and improving transparency in Federal funding. And once we have returned to prosperity, I remain equally committed to tackling our burgeoning Federal deficit.

I appreciate your comments as they help me serve you better in the Senate, and I look forward to hearing from you should you have any future concerns.

My response to his response;

Dear Senator Nelson;

You said that economists across the spectrum agreed that something had to be done, and doing nothing wasn't an option. Well, the economists in the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) stated that this will hurt the economy in the long run, more than if we did nothing. Don't those economists, the ones that work for you sir, count in the "economists across the spectrum" in your book? Doing nothing was an option!

You said that you voted for this because it "narrowly targeted" things that would get the economy moving again. You mentioned infrastructure as one of the narrow targets. Some people would say that if we can create stimulus through building infrastructure then why not spend it all there, everyone says it creates jobs that are badly needed. And it can, but the vast majority of those jobs will be created after the 2 to 5 years of environmental studies are done, and road way and bed ways have been bought, so if your definition of stimulus is creating jobs over 5 years down road, then your spot on, but that's not my definition. Stimulating the economy in a meaningful, quick way is only done through one instrument....personal tax reductions, immediate reductions. Putting more money in tax payer's pockets and letting them spend it on what they need, we don't "need" a bullet train from LA to Vegas! Suspending the payroll taxes for 4 to 6 months would have increased spending power and given real incentive for the workers to produce more by keeping what they earn. Cutting the corporate taxes, TO ZERO, would help as well. Corporations sir, you know this, only pass on their tax costs to us, the consumer. It's basically a value-added-tax, that we pay for. Doing this would spur on capital improvements in companies, bring back overseas capital and encourage business to expand and hire all those folks out of work.

Okay, you read the stimulus bill.....when? Unless you can speed read like a greyhound no one read this before it was passed. You may have know most of what was in it, not like your GOP counter parts that were shut out of the process. But no one got to read the whole thing before it was passed.

The mis-information you refer to, the "socialization of health care" is occurring with or with out this bill. But putting health care in this bill was shameful. H/C is a totally different subject, one that should have never been a part of this or any "stimulus" bill. Because it effects people at such a personal level, it dissevered discussion and debate on its own merits. Shoving it down our throats in this time of panic, that is scandalous.

Thank you for voting "No" on the TARP bill, I couldn't agree more that it was a waste of money, but this stumulus bill was pushed ahead with the same urgency and fervor. I'm sure you heard this from your mom or grandmother, "hast makes waste", well no words could say more about the way this bill was passed. You said you are committed to reduce wasteful spending and improving transparency in Federal funding. If that is so, then you did one of two things here sir, you either just lied to me now, or you lied to yourself as you raised your hand to vote for this bill. You can not be committed to what you said and justify what you did. I know that I could not have and no one I know could have or would have.

In this article, "GOP lawmakers tout projects in the stimulus bill they opposed", Rep. John Mica, FL, is quoted as saying, "I applaud President Obama's recognition that high-speed rail should be part of America's future," the Florida Republican beamed in a press release." Congressmen, don't be a fool, or make us look like ones. Don't go slamming this "stimulus" bill in Washington, then come home and gush about how it will help. It either sucks or it doesn't sir, which on is it. This is the problem with the GOP, and why I won't join it until I see crap like this stop. Have some principals man, stand up and stay standing.

Like I said before, building bridges or trains won't stimulate now, but 2 to 5 years or more from now. But if I, or you got a tax cut, something real, not like the disappearing ones in this bill, something like a pause in payroll taxes for 4 or 5 months, this would stimulate spending and maybe even production. Just think, if you didn't have to pay taxes on what you earned for 6 months, wouldn't you try as hard as you could to make as much as possible during that time frame, I know I would. But wait, that's just capitalism, we don't want to try that again, that's just not the way of the future anymore. Remember, Change has Come!

MSNBC: They Really Are That Stupid!

Rep. Schock goes one MSNBC, Obama minions if there ever were, and lays out his objections to the "Recovery Act" of the President. Listening to the reporter talk about what he thinks is stimulative, you can see why the Obama sheeple are so mis-informed. They seriously think that a bullet train form Vegas to L.A. will be stimulative, when just the environmental studies and planning will take years. Not one shovel of earth will be moved or one track laid, for at least 2 to 5 years, yet this MSNBC dolt argues with Rep. Schock that the construction spending will stimulate jobs and economy. Spending that is 2 to 5 years down the road does nothing for us now, when a "Stimulus Bill" is supposed to stimulate. Rep. Schock sets him straight, before the blind "obamaton" cuts him off. This is why we're getting this run down our throats, the media isn't just on his side, they believe this horse squeeze the President is shoveling.

On another note, let's keep our eye on this Congressman, according to this Youtuber, he's Hot! Well, all I know is if he was in my college frat, we would have sent him out with the other "face guys" to invite the Tri Delts over for a social. Let's hope he hangs in there for the long hall.

There's only one way to achieve the changes we need to expunge the power that has accumulated in Washington over the past 70 years, Revolution! Viva de Reagan Revolution!

"Now look over here, at this hand, the one I want you to watch, so you don't see my other hand in your back pocket" should be in a dialog bubble over "O's" head as he goes on about the bonus pay on Wall St. Please, everyone here harping on this issue; take your eyes off of this "slight-of-hand" distraction and see what this man and his congressional friends are doing with their other hand. While they go on about this populist issue, and hit us over the head with these dollar figures of $900Billion, and Trillions, so we get desensitized to them, they reach around with their magician's dexterity and slip in this bill and that bill, taking us down a road to socialized medicine and worse. This outrage is so misplaced that "O" must be thinking that he may just be able to walk on water, just like all of the knuckle-heads that voted for him must have thought. SHIP and increases in Medicare/Medicaid are the easiest way for the socialist snake to enter our homes and coil around us in what many will think is a warm, secure embrace, but then they will not notice the incremental tightening and squeezing that will take more and more of their life, their freedom, little by little.

The only way to have Wall Street clean up its act is to let it fail. The first step down this road I’m talking about was the TARP funds, and the misuse of those funds. We were told that “We had to pass it or we would fall off a cliff!” Well not even half of the money has been used, we haven’t fallen off that cliff, and Wall Street is nibbling at the teat for more. Haven’t we learned by now that when the Government sticks its ugly head in, nothing good ever happens. If we want to fix the bonus problem, let the SOBs fail, and get kicked to the street. It’s hard to get a bonus when you’re pounding pavement. Many times, the only way an addict realizes he is one is when he hits rock bottom. These Wall Street folks will learn if we get out of the way, let them fail and let the market buy up those assets, and there will be buyers, and create more efficient companies that respond to their stockholders. Wanting to tax high incomes at 80% or 90% won’t fix a damn thing, it will just keep these folks buying Congressmen and the loop-holes in the 18,000 page tax code that they need to keep the status quo. This administration is the best thing ever to happen to K Street, when they want to spend like there’s no tomorrow, which there won’t be for our kids of we let them.

The only fix is a revolution, one that kicks the IRS to the curb and one where we have a constitutional amendment that brings in the only way to limit the power of government and lobbyists, and that is the Fair Tax. Tax relief, not spending will dig us out of this hole we’re in and free us from the heavy hand of the Federal Government. Google it, look into it and learn about it and you will find that nothing out there would have as big an impact to changing the balance of power and bringing businesses back to the US than passing this in to law. What will it take, an act of congress. Not this congress, but one that comes after, after the public has had enough of their rights and lives being stepped on by this liberal, socialist government that thinks it is the answer, when, as a great president once stated, “it is the problem!”

Decades of US Blood FOR Muslims

In a exposure of Obama's willingness to tell people what they want to hear, he does his first interview of his new presidency with an Arab news network. And in this interview he says that we need to "restore" the "same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago".

This shows one of two things, Obama's utter lack of recent history or his dependence on the public's lack of it. In Charles Krouthammer's piece, "Obama Just Flatters Himself" ,Charles takes issue with Obama's view on the last 20 to 30 years and points out that we, the United States of America "has done more for suffering and oppressed Muslims than any nation, Muslim or non-Muslim, anywhere on earth. Why are we apologizing?" Charles again is spot on with this assessment, and I have some of the numbers for you. How can a president apologize to the Muslim world when we have sacrificed our blood, arms, legs, eyes and lives to set Muslims free of tyranny, or tried to help feed and save the lives of people we do not know and have no national interest, except in spreading freedom for all of God's children.

'82 - '84 ...the Beirut deployment... 266 killed (many in the Marine barrack bombing) and 196 wounded. Total casualties = 435

'82 - '88...Persian Gulf Escorts...39 killed, 31 wounded keeping Kuwaiti tankers safe from our friends in Iran. Total Casualties = 70

'90 - 91...Gulf War...KIA 151, total killed - 299, 467 wounded freeing a whole Muslim country from the hands of Saddam and his two thug sons. Total casualties = 766

'92 - '93...Sumalia...Killed 43, wounded 153 trying to bring food to starving Muslims in a country that we truly had no national interest in, but it's what we do. Total casualties = 196

'95 - still...Bosnia...Killed 12, wounded 6 trying to protect Muslims and Christians from killing each other. Both Muslims and Christians tried to cleanse the other out. Total casualties = 18

'99 -still...Kosovo...Killed 20, wounded 2 again protecting Muslims. Total casualties = 22

2001 -still...Afghanistan... Killed 629, wounded 2379. 25 million people given a chance at freedom that would never have come if it were not of the US. Total casualties = 3008, so far.

2003 - still...Iraq...Killed 4221, wounded 43993. Another 25 million people given a chance, and taking advantage of it. Elections over the weekend with 51% of the population participating.

'82 till now...Total Killed 5529, total wounded 47700. 52, 729 soldiers laying down their lives or limbs to help and protect Muslim peoples all around the world from mainly fellow Muslims. And what does Pres. Obama say to the Muslim world? That "we" the US and western world, "cannot paint with a broad brush a faith as a consequence of the violence that is done in that faiths name." We have not done that, if anything we have done the reverse. Pres. Bush going to the Islamic Center in Washington, as Krauthammer points out, as ground zero was still smoldering, making sure that we did not take out our frustrations on our fellow Muslim-Americans and guests and declaring "Islam is Peace".

As we have done in the past, after we saved Europe and defeated the Nazis, and in Japan, and in Korea, the US military sacrifices it bravest and best, helping those who can't help themselves from those that care less for their own people than we do, and all we have asked in the past is enough room to bury our fallen. Now, we bring them home to lay in the bosom of our earth. And the wounded, we give them the best care we can, honoring them every chance we can with a simple "thank you for your service". We give our blood for others, why? Because this country stands against those that take the blood of others, and we always will.

Pres. Obama, instead of telling the Muslim world what our relationship will be like in the future, why not just point out what we have done for them in the past and ask, would you like us to continue trying to help or not. One more black eye from the Muslim extremists and attitudes may change.

Responce to a letter to Obama from the Arab World

The letter, written by Mr. Al Asr was published in the Arab News, and can be read here.

Here is my response:

Al-Asr, your letter is compelling; I pray that peace comes to the Middle East and to all the people who make it their home. I have seen the hospitality you mention of the Arab culture, the welcoming of guests to the homes of Arab people, and how insulted and embarrassed the good people of Iraq were when shoes were thrown at Pres. Bush.

But I must say that with all the Arab culture has given the world; the Islamic religion has taken away. With out doubt, the western world has taken a toll on peoples all around the world with the colonialism of the past, two world wars that killed millions. But now, it seems the west is welcoming, so much so that it is to "their" detriment. The political correctness and efforts not to offend Muslims, has left us open to the radicals of the religion that the vast majority of the Arab people subscribe.

I must ask, if the circumstances were reversed, and Israel was sending 2 to 30 rockets in to the west bank or Gaza every day for the last 2 to 3 years, the Arab world would have been outraged, demanding that the UN stop the assault at once. Even if, as has been reported, the death toll was only one Palestinian, the fact that an exploding rocket could land in a child’s room, in a place of worship or a school and possibly kill innocents, the people of Gaza would be more than justified to take action. But yet, the Israeli people, in taking such action, are denounced as Genocidal. If that is so, why do they not just keep it up, and on the west bank as well. It's because they want to stop the rockets, not lives.

The people of Gaza had a chance to show the world that they could create a peaceful, respectful Palestine. They could have turned Gaza in to another Hong Kong, using free trade to become a port of wealth and commerce. But what do they do with the power the people gave them; they took that trust and shot it off into the Israeli skies, and let that bring upon themselves the wrath of the people for which the tried to kill.

The Arab people need to take back their culture form the radical Islamist, being very visible and deliberate so as to make the world see that they would like to live in peace with everyone, including Israel and the west. If Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Syria would take leading roles in stopping the violence against innocent people, then the world would support the two state compromise full tilt. This would mean letting the Palestinian people come back to some of the lands that were taken by Jordan and Egypt, keeping Iran out of the mix and allowing peoples of different faiths to live and let live. By showing this civility to others and nipping in the bud the violent activists of the Muslim religion, peace may be achieved. If the hate and intolerance persist, I can only pray that radicals of Islam do not do to all Arabs and Muslims world wide what they have done to the people of Gaza. I pray for you and for all of your people that they may see that hate only begets hate, and that one day my grandchildren may visit yours and see all the sites of the holy land, Christian, Muslim and Jewish alike. How Can I Complain About Jack Anymore! Watch this!

What's the one thing people fear more than death....that's right, speaking in front of crowds. Now what if you couldn't stand on your two legs to give the speech, or hold your notes in your hand.....because you didn't have any hands, or legs to stand on, could you bear to have people look at you, let alone think they'd listen to you?

Please, take a look at this video and let his message remind you not of just how lucky you are, and I don't care what's wrong with you, physically, your damned luck comparatively speaking. But then, try to see if you're lucky enough to have the joy you see in this man, despite the struggles he must face every day. He lets you know where to find that joy, just listen, with your ears but with your heart as well. It's amazing, but if you haven't found the joy he's talking about, and you even feel jealous of his happiness, know that it comes to you as a gift, one that was given to you almost 2000 years ago. Speculators (#$%&#@!&%^) errrrr....oh wait a minute....Gas is How Much?

Remember this last summer, we were not just sweating because of the heat, but because we were looking at the prospect of filling our tanks with $4.20 gas. Back in June of this year I wrote about the god awful speculators, those capitalist pigs that were driving the price of oil through the roof, everyone wanted to go out and hang them. It was these faceless, evil Wall Street minions that were making it hard for schools boards to bus their students to school, making fixed income folks choose, "will it be high fiber...or high octane" and making parents choose between food for baby or gas for the car to get to work. Sons-a-b*tches!

But wait, I just bought gas for my car for $149.9 a gallon today. What the.....wait a minute....how did that happen. Could it be that because of the slow down in the economy, here and world wide that gas consumption has decreased? Could it be that because of the high prices we started to produce more oil? Could it be that, like this article states, we are driving less because the prices just made it to costly to go on long trips? The answer is "YES" to all of it, and it's called the free market. And those god awful speculators we all hated, well they saw what was happening and they did what speculators do....they speculated that we will be driving less, that we will travel less because of the price of oil. And with the slow down, to a crawl, of the economy, they "speculated" that we will use even less oil. Oil today is again under $40 bucks a barrel, Can I get an "AMEN"! And it's all because of those faceless, Wall Street types, those speculators we all hated, or at least the folks that forgot about the free market system hated, that are driving down the prices for the simple reason that they see less quantity demand in the future. It's what they do, and should we go up and say thank you to them, NO!, because it's business.

And speaking of business, do we all still hate the oil companies now, or has that mania wained a bit as well. They are making much less per gallon sold now, but the Government is still making the same revenue per gallon, about $0.18 per. Their income as gone down a little because we're buying less, but they are still making the same per gallon. So let's keep this in mind as we see profits for "BIG OIL" start to fall to norms, where they were before, and know that the next administration will more than likely raise taxes on oil and all form of energy as soon as they can. With that said, it looks like the "Sunday Drive" might come back as one of the most cost effective forms of entertainment we will have for a while. Now go fill up, drive around and warm up the planet a little, it's look'n like a cold winter this year.

Hide the Kitchen Knives from Capm, Here's some more good news

A swarm of earthquakes in Yellowstone. Why should I be the least bit alarmed by this? Only for this reason, Yellowstone is the biggest Volcano in the 'effing world, that's all! If it blows, from Yellowstone to the Mississippi will be under 3 to 30 feet of volcanic ash, crushing the US economy, and the worlds, then plunging us into a 2 to 20 year deep freeze. And it all starts with a cluster of earthquakes in the park.

Look at it this way; look at your computer on your desk, and picture that as all the ash belched out by Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines back in 1991. That good sized eruption dropped world wide temps 1 to 2 degrees for 2 years. Now you say, SO!?, not so bad. If you're like me, you have your computer on a desk, and if not, imagine the average sized desk, 3o" tall by 60" long by 30" deep. Look at the desk, look at the computer, the desk is a Yellowstone eruption. Oh, by the way, my computer is a lap-top.

See this article for more info on how big and how devastating this could be. Don't go screaming form your house just yet, but let this keep nibbling at the back of you mind for a while, and you'll start looking like the capm's pic next to this entry. Happy New Year.

Final Update: 01/09/2009 Okay, all to do about nothing, at least that's what the US government states. This happens, the 900 quakes, about every 20 years or so. So, NO WORRIES! I feel so much better now, I mean they must use computer modes to predict such things...right? So what what in the world could be the matter with that.....I'm sure all the "Scientists" are all in agreement and there is no need to talk about it any more......Honey, have you seen that old straight razor we use to have, I'd like to see just how sharp that blade is......

Why Israel Should Keep Fighting and Why We Need to Support Them

This is not in Israel, but in Afghanistan, and it shows the mentality and barbarism of the Islamist foes. In this video, a Taliban car bomber kills 14 children just going to school. Kids like yours and mine, walking to school on a beautiful day, then evil drives by. These kids are Muslim as well, so when we here that it's because of the US's support of Israel or that the Palestinian territories are being occupied, and that's why they do what they do, know this; these kids aren't Jewish, aren't Americans, aren't going to Temple or Church, they aren't on their way to an anti-Taliban rally, they are on their way to school. When in comes to the evil brought on by any terrorist in the name of Islam, they just don't give a rip who they kill. So the only way to deal with them, is to kill them, and I mean kill them all.

And the first place this attitude needs to take hold it in the Muslim community. These crazies have hijacked their religion, creating a hatred and fear around the world of anyone practicing or even looking like they are practicing Islam. They need to take back the reputation and the heritage of their religion and culture or it will end. It will end because something will happen, and that will trigger something truly awful, something I fear will be the end to much of the world as we know it. A US city nuked, a European city's population biologically destroyed could spell the end of what we know as the Islamic culture and more than half of the Muslim population. Please know that this is nothing that I want to happen, it is what I fear will happen if the people of Islam do not take on the evil in their own home.

We, the west, will not be able to stop Islamic radicals from doing what they do, we can kill 100's, 1,000's even hundreds of thousands of terrorists and we will not stop it. It will only stop when the Muslims in this world take back their name, and eliminate the evil from within. I fear that this point has possibly past by, but I hope that there is still time. As of right now, Egypt, our undercover alie in the war, is firing on Palestinians trying to flee Gaza. The Egyptian F/M stated that Hamas has declared war on them as well. This could be a start, showing Hamas that it has no where to hide.

The people of Islam must see that their survival is in stopping the attacks on the west and on their own people, and taking back what is supposed to be a religion of peace. As a Christian, if I see evil in my house I will stand up and oppose it. Jews are the same, within Israel, free people raise their voices and oppose what Israel sometimes does. No one should die because of what they say, even when it's evil or reprehensible.

The repair of the Muslim house will be costly, in lives and in treasure. And this must be supported by the west, as it has done in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Supporting Muslim countries and people that want to live in peace with the rest of the world should be the goal of the next 50 years by the US and the rest of the west. Condemning Israel for striking Hamas at the heart will not help this cause. Europe will pay for their support of Israel's foes. When they keep appeasing the radicals just to have peace, they will soon fine that they will have none. I fear the event that will cause what I have written about here will come within the next 4 years. It will be so horrific that reprisals will start against the Muslim communities and that will just escalate to what will be the end. And we, the US, will be dragged in, again, to western Europe to fight for the freedom of the world. I can only hope that this will not take place, and I pray that it will not.

This just brings home what I and so many others have been saying, what a flaming bag of dog squeeze is the nonsense of global warming. And now in Poland, the UN says that they have concrete proof of "Global Climate Change". Well no Sh*t Sherlocks, it changes all the time, and now we're cooling off a bit.

Go (here) and read about the 650 plus real scientists that have come out of the IPCC closet, risking their futures, to denounce what the UN has been touting. 52 "scientists" were responsible for the original IPCC report, gleaning what they wanted from the 2,500 scientists Mr. Gore says are all that there must be, because there is no more discussion needed, or wanted, on the subject. So now we have 650 Scientists, real PhDs in physics, geology, meteorology and other pertinent fields, saying this is a hoax, and CO2, even increases of 3 times as much as we're putting out now, will do nothing to increase global temps. They say, look up and then look down and you'll find the real reasons for any temp changes, the sun and the oceans.

So now that gas is nearing decade low prices, jump in that SUV, start up that snow machine, climb aboard that 747 and burn baby burn some carbon, we need to warm this place back up.

A Different Christmas Poem.....

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,

I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.

My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,

My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,

Transforming the yard to a winter delight.

The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,

Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,

Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.

In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,

So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,

But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.

Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know,

Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,

And I crept to the door just to see who was near.

Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,

A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,

Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.

Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,

Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

'What are you doing?' I asked without fear,

'Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!

Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,

You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!'

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,

Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.

To the window that danced with a warm fire's light,

Then he sighed and he said 'Its really all right,

I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.

I can carry the weight of killing another,

Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..

Who stand at the front against any and all,

To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.'

' So go back inside,' he said, 'harbor no fright,

'But isn't there something I can do, at the least,

'Give you money,' I asked, 'or prepare you a feast?

It seems all too little for all that you've done,

For being away from your wife and your son.'

I am proud to say that I scored an 87.7%, so see if you can beat me. Please let me know by leaving a comment or emailing me your results. A scary thought though, the average score is 49% for the general public, but elected folks averaged 5% lower at 44%. That may explain quite a bit of what's been going on lately.
